Very good quality and a very attractive addition to my kitchen. The only flaw I’ve come across is when you’re opening a can that’s not a normal size can , like a 48 oz. can for example, you better put your hand under the can and support it as it opens the lid or it will fall off of the opener when the lid is finished opening and the can will free fall on to your counter top, making a big mess. I found this out when opening a big can of diced tomatoes, making the biggest mess you can possibly imagine.

I have had this opener for two years, of course it's nearly out of warranty. The opener starts to open the can, then falls off the cutter, this can happen several times. This makes the job a pain. I've kept the cutter clean and it still does it. It is very frustrating. I will contact the company to see if they will replace it. In reading the reviews it had glowing ones, which I read before purchasing. Afterward when writing to Amazon there were several complaints the same as mine. I hope Amazon stops buying them-they need to inform Cuisinart of the problem. I won't be purchasing any of their products anytime soon.

This product was priced reasonably, is easy to use and clean-up is so easy. It is great for those of us with arthritis. Just place the can in place, lock it down and the opener does the rest - hands-free while it’s operating. It actually completely removes the lid, holds the lid in place with the strong magnet on the handle and holds the opened can in place until you remove it. It’s really pretty cool. My kids love it too!

I finally decided that it was time to buy a more expensive electric can opener. I have purchased cheaper ones in the past and they don’t make it a year without something breaking on them. This one seems very solid, sturdy plus nice to look at. Hopefully by spending the extra money this one will make it more than a year. I feel sure this one will make it as it is nicely built and seems very sturdy. I’m single and don’t use but a couple times a week..take it from me pay a little more ok double and you will see the difference in quality.

I have had an under counter can opener for years. I LOVED it! It was tucked up under the last shelf in my appliance garage, out of the way leaving more counter space for other appliances but always ready and convenient. It finally died. I searched Everywhere for a new replacement to no avail. So I finally sucked it up and picked this one. I like the heavy bottom so it will hold cans without falling over. It’s stable. It does an adequate job opening cans. But I miss my space saver.
