Excellent Product.
Luv, luv this transport wheel chair. It folds. It’s light weight. It’s a huge convenience when traveling with your loved one who might have mobility challenges.I also purchased, separately, a well-made cloth storage bag that zips and has handles and wheels. The bag can be used to protect the transport wheel chair while traveling or for storage.

Cool Transport Chair
We have been using an inexpensive transport chair for our daughter for several years. We recently took a vacation and had to push the chair over rough surfaces and uneven ground. It failed miserably. We decided it was time to make an investment in a top quality chair with 12" wheels as our daughter is 35 and will need it for many years to come. This is a great chair. The tires run smoothly over most surfaces and it's easy to push. The blue color is pretty cool too. The only negative is we bought the smaller 16" chair because our daughter is petite (5'3" 125 pounds). The smaller chair sits 2" lower to the ground so the hand grips are 2" lower. I am 5'5" and it is perfectly fine for me; however, my husband is 6' 2" and he has to lean over to push the chair. If we could do it over again I would have bought the 18" chair. Regardless, this is a sturdy, supportive, well-built transport chair and worthy of the price.

Best designed chair available
This chair is very thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and safety for the user. It has a uniquely designed frame that is curved and provides excellent back support. Most chairs require that the occupant sit with back and legs at a 90 degree angle which is fatiguing. For those with neurological conditions that cause rigidity, it is difficult to safely transition into standard wheel chairs without sliding out. This chair solves that problem. The other great features include: 1 ) light weight for easy loading into car and easy effort for caregiver to push, 2) maneuverability, 3) curved arms that are comfortable and allow the chair to slide under a chair or table, 4) easy to use footrests that may be moved into and out of use with little effort, 5) wheels that go over bumps and thresholds without difficulty. We did encounter a problem within the first 2 days of using the chair. The brake on one side would not release and we could not fix it following the manual provided. I contacted Strongback Mobility and with the help of Leta the Operations Manager we were able to determine that the problem was a lose set screw where the brake attached to the chair frame. I was able to tighten the screw with the allen wrench that came with the chair in less than a minute and we have been rolling along happily since. The only other thing that we have encountered is that if you bump the chair against a door frame it is possible to knock the hubcaps off. They are easy to pop back on but watch out or you may leave them behind in a doctor's office. We bought 2 of these chairs, one for home and one for the car. They have been a great and have made caring for my husband much less stressful and much safer. I recommend the chair and also that you carry the tool kit provided with you just in case something gets loose.

Almost Perfect
The media could not be loaded. I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars. My wife, who is the one who sits in it, immediately liked it. She said it was "amazingly better" than her old transport chair and I'm sure it is. I bought it in part for the 12" wheels - should be much easier in gravel and such than the 8" wheel transport chair. The foot rests are MUCH better than the old clip on kind, that leave the clip sticking out waiting to gouge a doorway. As the short vid shows, they fold up and out and deploy in seconds with minimal fuss. A far superior system. And you can easily remove the heel retainers, which for my wife just get in the way.The handles are very ergonomic, not simple tubes to grasp. And the tip-up pedals in the rear are superior to almost everything else out there. They're obviously made for tipping the chair back to get over small bumps. The only negative is the wheel caps. As others have noted they fall off. When I called Strongback the rep said to glue them on, which is basically an admission of poor design and execution. To top that off, the caps are in two parts. So even if the outer cap stays in place, you can still knock the small center cap off. Even after gluing with Gorilla Glue, one STILL came off. What!? Again, simply a very poor design of maybe the simplest part on the device. Those things aren't deal breakers, but on an otherwise superior - and expensive - design they are thoroughly unnecessary annoyances. It's a great chair but Strongback needs to get on this weakness pronto.

Light weight, sturdy, nice back support, Did I say it was lightweight? Very important .
Two weeks old..This is a very nice, well-made, comfortable, and very lightweight wheelchair. However, the piece that holds the foot support in place fell off on its own for no reason. When I called to get that part replaced, I was given a price and shipping charges… hold on, I had it for two weeks and had normal use and that little piece popped off and you want me to pay six dollars for the part and $15 for shipping for something that was not my fault? Bless her heart, the agent went to her supervisor and got permission to ship it to me no charge. Something that should’ve been done right from the start, but I appreciate it. I would definitely buy this wheelchair again if I needed one. I recommend this wheelchair, although not cheap.
