Akona Kleen Sweep+ Sweeping Compound (1814)

My husband has respiratory issues and is sensitive to airborne contaminants. His shop needed to be cleaned up and creating dust was not desirable. I remembered using this sweeping compound at work years ago so I got it for use on our concrete floor. Our environment is sandy and dry; shop work is automotive, metalworking and wood working. This compound works great to capture the dust fines and keep them out of the air (usually when sweeping, you can see the dust in the air; not when using this compound). It's probably not 100%, but it's as good as you're gonna get unless you use a HEPA filtered vacuum.I also like that it ends up making your sweeping more effective. You don't end up with as much fine stuff left behind the broom so you have to backtrack less and more seems to end up in the dustpan (because the small dust is stuck to the larger compound particles).I happily recommend this stuff for sweeping on concrete floors. Do your homework if you're going to do fancy floors as there's a couple different types to chose from.

Wanted to sweep out my garage, but doing so would have created a cloud of dust making things even worse. This stuff works great. Adheres itself to dirt and debris, and it’s easy to sweep up and discards easily-again without kicking up and dust in the process. To ensure it’s max effect be sure to follow instructions and let it sit on the floor/ pavement before sweeping it up.

Worked Well.

This stuff rocks for cleaning up drywall sanding dust. Swept up what I could, then spread this around, it completely gathered up the dust as I swept. I remembered something like it from when I was a kid at camp in the 1950s, so had an idea what to expect. I deliberately wanted a water based product. All I had was minor mopping when done.
