Sure - there's a M.2 (2280) slot for a SSD. Here's one on Amazon with a 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD, but I think it could take an SSD up to 1TB in addition to the 1TB SATA HDD in the 2-1/2" drive bay. Read speeds up to 545MB/s and write speeds up to 525MB/s. Seagate/WD bought out SanDisk last year. I'd get the 950 PRO while supplies last. You won't likely need the extra speed of the Samsung PRO, so the M.2 2280 WD Blue or Crucial SSD should give you all the speed you'd wish.But for now, the standard HDD is fast enough for me!

Q: What is the average battery life?

I have only been using mine for a week, but it appears that I used it at least 7 hours w/o recharge and that included turning it on and off several times

Q: Why is the shipping weight 17 pounds? It' almost 4 times the item weight.

This is likely do to both packaging and other contents other than the computer itself (I.E. the charger).

Q: why dimesions are bigger than other laptops with 15.6" screen?? (common dimensions are 15" x 10" x 1")

I just measured mine ( I didn't get the thickness because I am currently using it), and I got 15" x 10".

Okay

This product is just okay which is not good for something you pay $1,000 on. It works fine but it's a little bit and ever single smudge is super noticeable. The laptop works fine but after a week of use I think one of my pixels is dead because there's a small black thing on my screen and I can't wipe it off. It's a little big but that's my own fault for not ordering something small. If you want a computer with an i7 processor and a good graphics card by all means buy this but I think my money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Bad quality control

Returned after 1 day.1.Scratched from the box.2. Track pad didn't fixed properly. The second laptop had the same thing.3. Lose wi-fi signal. Looks like driver.I don't recommend ASUS UX510UW.

Don't buy.

Worked OK for about a year, didn't crash TOO much. But then became unworkable after a year. I don't even use it for gaming or anything. Mostly just writing.
