It's a great kit to get you up and going if your just starting out with electronic hobbying.

This is a very nice collection of parts for the first few experments. I have 2 complaints. First, the multimeter that came with my kit is extremely cheap. Even though I got the deluxe edition, it was very disappointing. I was unable to perform the first 2 experiments because the multimeter was not sensitive enough. It does not feel solid and I doubt it will last. Second, this kit only includes the bare minimum of some components even though the author suggests you get larger quantities.So, on one hand it's nice you have everything you need in one box. However, if you accidently drop or burn out a component, you may not have enough to continue. I still can't seem to get past the piece of crap multimeter they put in the deluxe eddition.

Really good kit which is needed to do the experiments in the book Make: Electronics.

Instead of searching all over the place locally to buy different components required for each Make Electronics experiment, you can buy Kit #1, 2 or 3 and start experimenting right away.
