Grommet Tool Kit, 3/8 inch Handheld Eyelet Kit Manual Grommet Press Machine with 500 pcs 10 mm Grommets

It's not a pro thing, but I am not a pro. I wanted to put grommets into some yoga mats, so it's 5mm material. I am using the 12mm grommets currently. The tool was able to press through the material and cut the center with little issue. Probably at about the max thickness the tool will take, anything thicker will need the hammer treatment.I'm watching to see if the grommet separates from the material due to the weight of it, along with if the grommets rust. For reference, I am using yoga mat material to protect my car from hail and am building a car cover. The neoprene adhesive failed, so I'm looking for a sturdier way to connect the pieces. The entire car cover should weigh around 25kg; however, water adds to that weight in the rain.

The kit comes with a nice variety of grommet sizes from small to fairly large. The handles are well padded and easy on your hand when squeezing to install the grommets. Simple easy to understand directions, so you know how to install which pieces of the grommet on each section of the tool. It comes with two punches to remove the material inside the grommet; in case it needs a little extra effort to remove it after the grommet is installed.

This is an awesome tool. Very easy to use. Packaging is very organized. The grommets are packed by size a long with their corresponding washers. Just make sure to separate the washers carefully as they are very thin. I mistakenly had 2 washers at one point and it made it harder to punch but I assume it was stronger when installed. Have fun. I put grommets on all my kitchen towels and used shower curtain rings to hang them better in the kitchen or on my belt loop.

This handheld grommet machine works well., as long as you are using the supplied grommets. Be cognizant of using the correct grommets as far as sizing and metallic content. This device is designed with magnets in the punch and anvil parts which makes it very useful in holding the grommet parts in position for use. It will however not work with aluminum or brass grommets, the grommets need to be made with steel. So, if you are concerned about rust problems in the future, you're going to need to go the old fashioned route of punching a hole and then setting the grommet with a hammer. It would be nice if this manufacturer/supplier listed replacement grommets on their site, which would help to insure grommets that fit and work properly with this device.

This hand tool works great. The grommets fit, they do what they’re supposed to do and look professional. I was using a more expensive, larger, cast-iron Gromit press with mixed results. Quite a few of the grommets fell out so this smaller, less expensive version is a great value.

I purchased this product to supplement/fill in the gaps on a tarp. You will need strength to operate it properly. Once you have put the grommet in, you can use a knife to cut a hole in the center.It works great 👍

This worked well on some thick material which included Velcro. We just needed to complete the fabric hole using some scissors on a small area. The grommet attachment went flawlessly. We were installing grommets on a mesh screen for our double garage door- this will allow us to hang the screen from hooks instead of using long Velcro strips and make it much easier to put up or take down.

This is a very easy to use grommet and tool set. The functionality of this tool is amazing. It very easily allowed me to set grommets. Long and far away are the days when I had to hit gromits with a hammer - now I can just use a tool, like a modern human. The tool is extremely easy to use and comfortable. It feels durable and high quality. I like that it has a set screw that would allow me to change out the head for other sized grommets (sold separately on Amazon). The bag of grommets included in the set are also pretty good quality and I didn't have any issues setting them. The set also includes a hole punch so you really only need to buy this set to be able to start adding grommets to whatever you want. This set is really good value for the money and I would recommend it.
