This is a great tool. High quality and works great. Can be used to interface/adjust many different types of modules in the car.

I purchased this to put the EPB of out 2018 Volvo XC60 in service mode so I could replace the rear brake pads and rotors. Probably more functionality than I needed, but I figured what I save in doing the work myself more than paid for this device and figure it would come in handy down the road. Fast delivery and good packaging.

Works like a champ

A simple OBD scanner will cost much less money than one of these, but you will miss many of the trouble codes which don’t cause a check engine light to illuminate. In addition, a scanner like this can provide loads of live data for your car so that you can see in real time what is going on. You can check fuel injector health or see if there are an misfires. You can even see how well correlated your accelerator input is with the throttle.Why might you want to know this if you’re not a mechanic? Because not all dealers and independent mechanics are honest. If they’re saying you have a misfire or blown head gasket and this scanner shows those things are fine … run! Also if you can do some of your own diagnostics and bring the printed readout in, it can save labor time.There is a learning curve, but in time, you’ll be able to look at the health of your car and hopefully head off small problems before they become a check engine light.

The media could not be loaded. So the whole reason I bought this scan tool was because it was able to run functional tests. Long story short, my truck was over heating and I was sure the fans weren’t working correctly. I don’t know if I got a faulty scanner or maybe my truck just doesn’t allow me to function test my fans but it didn’t work with my truck. I replaced the fans thinking they were bad due to the scan tool not being able to function them but it still wouldn’t function the new fans. What I don’t understand is when I select my truck it makes me pick “active grille shutter control” or “trailer brake controls” because my truck has neither. I posted a video to see what I’m talking about.

Says it comes with No IP Restriction, but it asks which country I live in, and says that I can’t change it. I specifically looked for it not having an IP restriction. It’s also got a whole lot of menus that you have to dwell down into, just for it to tell you that it can’t do that.
