Musketeers, The: Season 3

Ever since I was young, I have always liked the Musketeers, but this series was by far the best ever. The first time I watched it on Prime, it actually stressed me out worrying about the Musketeers getting hurt. LOL The casting was excellent! After watching the 30 episodes, it became quite addictive to watch again and again. When I get time I watch it on Prime, but I just had to buy all three seasons so I am never without it. I highly recommend it. Bravo to the cast and crew.

Great action and twists. Note this is ‘based on’ not actually Dumas’ work, which, in my opinion, makes it better.

"The Musketeers" is one my favorite series. The story lines are well written and well acted. The action is rocking awesome! And the characters are all well developed. The bad guy in this series are well done. You won't be disappointed! All 3 seasons are fantastic and well worth watching. My only advice is to watch them in order because what happens in one show is carried over into the next. The entire series has well developed story threads that leave you wanting more and more. In my opinion, this is on the THE best series out there.

I was shocked when I realized I somehow missed “there was!” a third season and I bought all 3 seasons of the BBC version of the dashing and gritty musketeers immediately. I promptly watched in order with Season 3 probably a bit less realistic (yes these musketeers are now full fledged military soldiers and, basically, invincible despite the occasional mortal wounding.) BUT, still love this redo of the Dumas novel that still has sinister bad men to despise. Rupert Everett and Mathew McNulty are the conniving political evil doers in the final season. Athos (Tom Burke) is permitted a formidable love interest, Sylvie, in this go around. Gotta love how the series strays from the popular movies just enough so you don’t know what is going to happen and just who might die among the stars of the show. 4 1/2 star excellent tv production. Even the ward robe is memorable for the musketeers as is the stand-in Czech Republic exteriors and 17th century towns and castles representing France of the time. Don’t forget to watch extras too!

A delightful mix of the original, mild historical fantasy, and excellent acting, writing, and directing. At least as good as the Richard Chamberlain, Oliver Reed, Michael York, Frank Finlay, Raquel Welch, Charlton Heston, and Faye Dunaway production of the 1970s—but very different.

Season 3 continues where season 1 and season 2 left off. Great swashbuckling adventure.

Such a shame there isn't a Series 4 just to get France up and running with The Queen and Aramis leading the fight! It was a brilliant series and I was recommended to buy the box sets just to see it again and appreciate all the nuances/love interests/storylines that ran through it all which you probably missed when aired as the action flowed. Glad I took that advice as you get so much more from re-watching it all particularly all the sub-plots. The BBC were idiots to keep on changing their minds about the time it was suitable to air. Constant chopping and changing were lethal to the viewing figures which were very respectable. The sword fights were brilliant. It ended too soon and there should have been a Series 4. Credit to the wonderful palaces and villages and towns of the Czech Republic and of course their great film studios responsible for the backup. My tiny tiny tiny criticism was that none of the Musketeers were good horsemen.

マスケティアーズ、すごくハマってしまいました。１と２は日本版あるのですが、３だけないので、インポート版買いました。 相変わらず、銃士たちのイケメンぶりに目が離せなかったです。前作より暗い感じは否めなかったですが、途中途中にいいエピソードがあって最後は盛り返したかなと思います。ただダルタニアンとコンスタンスの大ファンとしては、２人のエピソードが少なくてかなり物足りなかったです。もうこれで完結してしまうのが残念です。
