I love the charcoal wash for my face. It’s perfect for my oily skin... don’t buy the pine soap, the smell is atrocious and if you are a migraine sufferer as I am it may trigger it (I am damn near certain that it would). I love pine scent, just not this brand of pine soap. The charcoal soap however is absolutely terrific and I’ll be buying much more of it in the future...

I didn't pay very close attention when ordering and assumed for the price that I was getting just one bar. Based on the price of all the other ones I had looked at. I was pleasantly surprised when I got two of them. They also last a super long time. My boyfriend uses them for his hair and body, and the charcoal is great at getting all of the dirt and grime from work broken down. Doesn't really have much of a scent, but it definitely does it's job.

I can only imagine that by next week I'll be using river mud or something!Been a fan of Grandpa's pine tar soap for about a year now, and recently began using the shampoo as well. Both are really good products for fragrance, ability to clean, and comfort.Tonight I used the charcoal soap for the first time and, yup, I've got another reason to buy from Grandpa's.This stuff actually had my skin squeaking without the dried, tight feeling you get from other soaps.It smells fantastic and hours later I can still get a whiff of the peppermint fragrance. In a job that does not allow cologne, etc, this will be as close I can get to stink pretty.Basically, if you haven't tried Grandpa's soap by now, you're missing out big time. And no, you don't need some 'orrible skin condition to use it - just try it, you'll be coming back for more.

I've been using this 2-3x a week in the shower with a buf-puf on my face, and it's really been working well. After my shower, my face feels like a mirror -- there are no bumps or blemishes that stand out. My skin is smoother and does a great job of absorbing moisturizer after my shower.I wish the soap was a bit firmer and didn't melt as fast, but it's still a great soap to use on your face.

I’m beyond happy I found this brand. It’s comparable to my own homemade soap, but lasts a few day’s longer. That’s how I know it’s not false advertising that it’s made of pure ingredients. It doesn’t have an overwhelming scent and lathers very well. I will definitely maintain a healthy supply!

Love this soap. The scent is slightly masculine and has undertones of mint and herbs. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without drying it out like many others. There are tiny black particles (I'm guessing the charcoal) which do a good job of exfoliating my skin. My wife is pretty picky about colognes and soaps, but she approves of this one, so thats a plus. Only downside is the price, but each bar seems to last me a few weeks, and I like the way it keeps my skin moisturized in the winter months, so I keep buying more.
