Used two of these already on a brand new Shimano HG53 9 spd chain (on a brand new bike) which has snapped twice after 300miles of use. These links are excellent, unlike the HG53. If you have a Shimano 9spd HG53 then you might want two packs of these repair links.

I was a little worried after reading a few reviews that I might not receive all 4 links as advertised. Fortunately, all 4 links, a total of 8 pieces, arrived as described. They took a while to get here via free shipping, but that’s okay because the price was low and strangely enough I could not get them at my LBS. Having 26” tires and a 9 speed drivetrain is ancient technology according to some of these bike snobs :(

Sorry - aber auch ich ging von 4 Stk aus. Klar 9-Fach ist schon alt und ich bin ja auch froh noch eins gefunden zu haben. aber 7 Euro für ein Kettenschloss - da hätte ich vielleicht besser ne neue Kette bestellt und die dann genietet!!! Ansonsten scheint das Schloss original zu sein. Versand ging schnell

Nice to have one or two of these in a touring repair kit, along with a couple links saved from any excess chain. Only needed it once in my life but it made for a speedy repair on the road.
