Minecraft 12" Alex Head Costume Mask

I bought this "for Mommy" since I (Daddy) go as Steve for Halloween and my son is the Creeper. This one is actually nicer than the Steve head I bought last year, since the top flap is flat and it looks a little neater. It does have extra dangly bits for Alex's ponytail. It gets lots of attention. Yes, it is very big, definitely sized for an adult. Tip: make sure you use the inside insert and then wear a baseball cap, it'll keep the mask fairly steady on your head. It's still hard to see; forward is fine, but there's obviously no peripheral vision and downwards is challenging. Our only issue was that since we all had masks, we had to take turns leading the others so we could still trick-or-treat around the neighborhood safely.

I used it as a an outdoor prop at Halloween. I applied a clear water proofing spray and it survived the season outside with little damage. It is a sturdy design, the cardboard is stiff and strong enough to how its shape well if you apply packaging tape on the inside and outside edges. I wish the price was lower I would buy more of these.

The kids loved it. Worn for a school talent show.

For some reason our hair piece came like this. I can tell from other reviews that it’s supposed to look Alex’s in Minecraft. It is a little big for our daughter, so we’re doing some troubleshooting. So different sizes would be nice, considering this game has a large child base. Also, the visibility is poor, but it’s a box, you can’t expect it to be great. But overall, my daughter loved it and thought it was super cool and is excited to wear boxes for Halloween.

Exactly as described and super easy to assemble. The only drawback is that it really is too big for younger/smaller kids. The distance of the eye holes to bottom of head/box was a bit much for my 9 year old daughter. Since the box sits on your shoulders, there is no way to adjust the height of the eye holes. I would recommend it for older kids and adults.

From the outside, this looks great. But structurally, it’s terrible. There’s nothing holding the box steady. It just bobbles all around your head. There is an insert that is supposed to be cut to the crown of your head to sit on top to hold it still but the box is so deep that it doesn’t even touch my head. The eye holes are so hard to see out of too. I had to keep taking the head off or holding it with one hand just ti get through a trunk or treat walk. I ended up just taking it off, which sucked since the head is what makes the costume. I don’t recommend this at all. My husband got a Steve head from another company that included a headband and strap which I wish this one had. All in all, this was a fail. I reached out to the company for a refund

Looks great, not the easiest thing to wear throughout the night with little kids though.

The product is great just like the ad, but the eyes are too separated from each other and my daughter only saw from one eye. Besides that is very well done and has a great quality.

Way to expensive for this product.

nice mask.. hard to get it to sit on a childs head. I recomend it for the look.. but I would do some palying aroudn with trying to mount an existing safety helmet inside the head with a chin strap.. Why.. becuase it doesnt sit cleanly and solidly on the head. It tends to float around . this is not good for little kids. you could easiy fall off the steps of a porch and wack your head. like my child did nearly a few times!. Therefor mount the box ontop of a real safety helmet like a bike or skateboard helmet with a glue gun. the glue peels off when you are done so no damage to your helmet. In additino if your child trips or falls.. then their head is protected.
