Q: I love the collar, but my dog has outgrown it and it's getting tight. I only need to replace the collar, not the mechanism. Is that possible?

I did not find just the tubular collar to be sold by itself but for just over $10, if it were me, I would just buy a new one in the right size. I am still using mine 9 months later after purchasing it. I feel it is worth it to keep my dog safe! Hope this helps.

Q: how long does it stay lit on continuous setting?

Mine wear their's about 1 hour each evening and I charge about once a week.

Its more water resistant than waterproof! My dog wears it in the rain and its just fine! We got caught in an evening storm, it was pouring & the collar was fine! The only reason I wouldn't think it could be on while swiming is because of where the charger is. It would definitely not be good to do. So its water resistant not water proof

Q: How do you know when it’s finished charging?

I just charged mine last night after observing that the coller illumination had reduced. When I connected tho USB power, a charming light indicator was illuminated and it was off this morning. The coller is now fully charged.
