Peak Design Slide camera strap for full-frame cameras Blue V3 (SL-MN-3)

This is a brilliant strap. Comfortable, smart and very secure. Combined with the PD quick release system I can transfer it easily between camera bodies, and the clutch-type adjustment for the strap length is a huge improvement over the fiddly feeding of a strap through a plastic end clip (if you know, you know). It also has some embroidered grip 'tracks' on one side to help prevent it slipping on the shoulder. So, although not especially cheap for a non-leather camera strap, it's well constructed and you could arguably save money if you have multiple bodies (as you could easily transfer the strap across rather than having one per body).

Have read loads of reviews and been told by others that this was a good product. Having started to use, I totally understand why. Comfy, easy to use and made a long day out taking photos seem so easy. Most of all my camera felt secure at all times.

Excellent camera strap. Great that it can be so easily swapped between cameras. Superbly made, very adjustable and nonslip, which is always a bonus.

Seems nicely made can’t for the life me me see why the no slip side it on the opposite side of the strap compared to the quick adjust . Better if it were the other way around . Ima not concerned that the release for the Adjustment is metal . This will I say day scratch the camera body or where ever it touches hmmm I’ll have to remove the strap to store

A camera strap that has the features that you want, long enough to use for cross body, and smooth enough to slide easily when bringing the camera up, quick to adjust and quick to remove to put on a tripod and quick to reattach after.

If appearance matters this is a very smart, silky looking strap. I really like the Midnight Blue colour. It is so distinctive that on my first outing with it I noticed another photographer wearing exactly the same strap - it was the colour, silkiness, and leather highlights that made it instantly identifiable at a distance. But looks don’t really matter; is it worth the money and does it do what it’s supposed to do? For many years I’ve been carrying my Canon dSLR and 100-400mm lens around in my hand with the strap wrapped around my wrist for security. I’m getting on a bit and on a day out having 4lbs weight hanging from my wrist for hours at a time was getting a bit tiring, so I searched for a solution and the Peak Design strap popped onto my radar. It’s expensive. Other people do similar things for less. But there are several features worthy of note. There are some rubber bits on one side of the middle of the strap. When the strap is twisted so that these are facing down, they act as resistance to movement and stop the strap sliding around. When on the top of the strap then the silky side of the strap is against clothing and slides easily so there is no resistance when lifting the camera to the eye. The attachment lugs (three are supplied) clip into the ends of the strap easily, and attach to the normal strap mounting points on the camera. I find them a bit fiddly to remove because the plastic button that you have to press down is shiny and has nothing to grip against the finger. It has to be pressed down with a little force (against a spring) and then slid out of the mount on the end off the strap. A metal attachment for the third lug is supplied to fix to the tripod screw thread. Attaching the strap to one side lug and this base lug means that longer lenses hang down and are more comfortably carried. This works very well. The problem is I had to remove my tripod quick release plate in order to install the strap mounting point. I use the strap more than a tripod so it isn’t a major problem, and Peak Design sell a Manfrotto compatible mounting plate for lug attachment - but that’s an additional expense. In between camera use I found that the camera wouldn’t stay at my back but would slide around to my hip where it was less comfortable. The rubber bits may have stopped this creep but I needed quick access to get the camera to shooting position. In conclusion I have to say that this strap is the best money I’ve ever spent on an accessory. Despite the couple of niggles it makes carrying a heavy camera almost effortless. It’s comfortable to wear and the camera is as easy to lift to my eye as when I was carrying it in my hand. Highly recommended.

Best camera strap ever made. I love it

I am really pleased with this. I have a large lens which was just too heavy and uncomfortable with the supplied straps. Being able to carry it in a sling position makes it much more comfortable. The fastening clips are also very neat and I can switch the strap easily between different setups

Ho sempre guadato ai prodotti Peak Design come ad un must per ogni appassionato di fotografia, quindi ora è arrivato il mio turno di semplificarmi la vita. E' indiscussa la qualità del prodotto, i materiali sono ottimi e anche solo dal tatto si percepisce la resistenza del tutto. Il colore blu scuro, chiamato midnight, è molto elegante (e per niente eccessivo) e quindi adatto a qualsiasi tipo di persona voi siate. La scatola è interamente di cartone, con una comoda finestra "apri e chiudi" per visualizzare il prodotto, ma il pezzo forte è tutto all'interno! La comodità delle tracolle Peak Design si scopre quando si ha un parco camere che non si limita ad un solo dispositivo. Dentro la confezione (oltre alla tracolla stessa) si trovano due paia di anchor links, due montati sulla fascia e due aggiuntivi (uno dei quali con montatura a vite per attaccarlo sotto la macchina, al posto del cavalletto, quando si monta un obiettivo molto pesante) che permettono lo "switch to" da una fotocamera all'altra senza doversi portare appresso una miriade di fasce o tracolle. Una semplificazione e una quality of life niente male. Unica pecca: la parte della tracolla, quella imbottita, che poggia sulla spalla non è poi cosi morbida. Niente di che ma è giusto precisarlo.

The Peak Design Slide (SL-MN-3) is an outstanding camera strap. The build quality is excellent, and it feels incredibly sturdy right out of the box. I'm using it with a heavier camera and lens setup, and it handles the weight with no problem at all—very secure and comfortable. It also works perfectly with my Smallrig Cage for the Nikon Z8, which is a huge bonus. The anchor system is super easy to attach and feels rock solid. One of the biggest selling points for me is the lifetime warranty. Knowing that Peak Design will repair or replace the strap if anything ever fails gives great peace of mind. Overall, a fantastic investment for any serious photographer.

Product OK. Delivery really bad. Bought as a gift but the package was destroyed. Sad.
