![Let It Be Special Edition [Deluxe 2 CD]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81KuykWW4SL.jpg)

The Let It Be album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. All the new Let It Be releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. The Special Edition Deluxe 2CD also includes a disc of outtake highlights and a 40-page booklet. Review: All of the anniversary Beatles reissues are superior. - These remasters are big, warm and improved. The sonic footprint is very intimate and detailed. I have a couple hundred Beatles records in vinyl. Some are dead mint mono pressings. Those are incredibly endearing to be sure. But now I want the mono reissues as my last Beatles purchase. The stereo Giles Martin anniversary mixes are all such gorgeous offerings. I'm going to cut and paste this review, because I have them all, and my conclusion is exactly the same. The Giles Martin mixes are the finest sounding Beatles records of all time. All of the albums artwork is amazing and there's booklets that go into incredible detail regarding the creation of the album you're holding. If you love the Beatles, buy all of the anniversary mixes. You'll be impressed all the way around. Review: WOW - This is one of the best musical purchases I have made in a while. Sure, it's the Beatles, their music is great however the quality of the recording is outstanding! I have a system that is very revealing, you'll know if you have a low-quality recording. The vocals are pretty forward in the music but there are so many nuances in the music....just wow! This two-disc set is pretty incredible! And as a huge bonus, a few of the songs are from their roof top concert, the last public appearance the Beatles made. And if you're privy, Billy Preston was on the keys during that concert. I can't believe it's taken me "this" long to own it!!!

Another Great Beatles Re-Mix.
As expected a must have if a Beatles enthusiast. Great re-mix, and reason I bought it was for the full disc of studio takes. Worth the price paid for my money. Recommended.

Great value!
The Beatles “let it be” 2 cd is a great deal, being a recent yet a big fan of the fab 4, I decided to get their last album and experience the lost moments of the Beatles on those cd. For people who like the Beatles and like collecting CDs, I would recommend them this cd. And the sound is really great, a well balanced of the guitars, the vocals, the drums, and even the bass being present in every song.

Beatles Past Briefly Caught, Then Sputters
The usual cheapskate that I am, I took a pass on the box set and settled for this more modest edition. The outtakes disc makes for a satisfying "fly on the wall" experience. It reveals that it wasn't all doom and gloom in the Beatles camp, though it's evident that Paul shows the most alacrity during these sessions. The rougher arrangements and spoken bits contribute heavily to the charm of this music and are more related to the Beatles original intentions behind this project. It would have also revealed more directly how the band kept changing course until their acrimonious divorce. On the second disc, there's stupendous ensemble playing on this version of "I've Got a Feeling", John's guitar soloing on "Get Back" is felt and his singing on his "Don't Let Me Down", where he flubs a verse, gives an extra back to basics power. In addition, Glyn Johns' 1970 mix of "Across the Universe" should have made it on the original release. It's really that good. Giles Martin's remix of the original album (disc one) is a mixed blessing. The voices on "I've Got a Feeling" don't sound together and takes some getting used to. The verdict isn't in on the harp I swear I've never heard on "Across the Universe". However, the brightened brass on the title track sounds very nice indeed. I've always liked the "Let It Be" album and I don't view it as the nadir in the Beatles career. Billy Preston came on board as way more than an adjunct bandmate. His keyboard wizardry is a valued presence and an integral part of the sound. Another first, Phil Spector attended to the details of the original release. Only on "The Long and Winding Road" did his production skills hinder the music. Moreover, he's warranted kudos for including some studio and concert rooftop banter which extracts a little humor from the widening chasm within the group. To this day, my two favorite cuts on "Let It Be" remain unchanged. One is the holdover from their Quarrymen days, "One After 909", where the Beatles mustered up all the verve they had in their Hamburg and Cavern Club dates. It's like they had first discovered the thrill of basic rock and roll. The other song is the emotional enormity in the rustic "Two of Us". This gorgeous melody fused togetherness and memory. Paul's and John's Everly Brothers harmonies are every bit as joyful to hear as anything they did on "Beatles '65 and "Beatles VI". But it seemed so long ago even in 1969, making it all the more poignant. This was it and they still shone a light as they were collapsing.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 50 years since the final Beatles album. This cd offering is excellent! However, the outtakes disc IS the highlight, I can’t stop playing it. It is cleverly put in as a playlist with some vocal banter. But I feel it is better the the actual album. You can compare it with the Sargent Peppers outtakes cd which isn’t as good at all. I put it down to, as a guitarist since 1964 (really) that the live aspect of the Let It Be concept was a fantastic idea for their final offering ending with the famous roof concert. This idea shines in the outtakes disc! I even feel that recording quality is better on the outtakes. Buy it and enjoy!

Sehr gute Studio - Nachbearbeitung der alten etwas angestaubten Songs ohne das man sie "vergewaltigt" hätte.

The sound quality is excellent. I have a lot of remastered cds but The Beatles seem to have the best sound of all! You feel like you are in the room with them. I love the bonus cd with very good alternative versions of the songs. Highly recommended!

Took a chance on this 2021 issue but it sounds good (may be a tiny bit compressed) considering original recording's age. Used EQ during listening and it sure brought in some extra detail to my older and tired ears :) I had to boost EQ below 250Hz and above 2.5kHz a bit to enjoy it better. I may go after a good LP issue at later date. Get good headphones and listen to it uninterrupted with eyes shut from very beginning to very end, may be a couple of times or more one day. It's def not a hi-res recording thou but mostly due to the originals quality.
