Yes, I use it with my 13" MacBook and it fits great. I put the kickstand in the very last slot and it's at a great angle.

Q: What is the exact weight of this stand? The description says 1.3 lbs (0.6kg), but many reviews say is it 'lightweight'.

The stand weight is correct. The dimensions are 10 " tall by 7.25" wide with extensions on the side.

Q: Would it work with Tablets?

Yes, a tablet would set just fine on the rubberized ledge. I use it with mine all the time.

Q: What about with a portable 14" or larger monitor? Will it remain stable?

I have a 13" Macbook, and it's great. I have also used it with very large and heavy textbooks, and it is rock-solid. I love it.
