I was a little concerned into some of the reviews, especially those that talked about health, and it is, and how wrinkly it was. However, while this product is not plush, it has a very nice nap and feel. The color is a deep black that is pleasing to the eye. The adhesive holds securely, however, it is easily repositionable if you need it to be. I have an acrylic ring holder. That is a nice size, but it sits on a glass table and does not give very much contrast to the rings that are on it. I wanted to use this as a background so that the rings could be more easily seen. It worked out perfectly. While from the back the product appears, wrinkly, it does not appear so on the front. I also used it on the shelf to replace a very clunky piece of black cloth to give a background for some of my DichroicGlass pieces , I put a strip of lace on each side and gave enough black to show the glass, but since it was just a thin strip, I can still see through to the next shelf. I would definitely purchase this again (photos 4&5 are before and after).

Ok, this doesn't change my life or anything but it delivered exactly what I needed. I used it to line the interior of a cardboard box to achieve a dark, non-reflective environment so dimly lighted displays could be seen in the daylight or with bright ambient lighting.The adhesive sticks very well but not so much that if you make a misalignment that you can't start over (whew). It is not deep/thick, plush or lush, but it does give the appearance of being so. So it looks like something you would spend a lot more on but remains very affordable. That's a win in my book!It's also very easy to cut and trim which is what a product like this needs to be. I was able to easily cut and trim it to correct my measurement errors. And if your are patient, and careful, you can piece together your leftover swatches and make the seams nearly invisible (I knew they were there, otherwise I might have believed it was a complete piece).It transformed mere pieces of cardboard into something that looks like it could hold museum quality pieces or expensive jewelry. It looks fantastic and is a real "light sponge" that makes my lit display items really POP!My project was intended to be a prototype but I'm so happy with the results that I'm going to put it to work! I WILL order more for additional projects.

After reading many reviews I decided on this product over others. This worked perfectly for a metal hanging wall flower basket. The metal basket is nearly flat on the backside but not flat enough, as it is hung on a painted door and was starting to scratch the door every time the door was opened or closed, the basket would swing a bit. I had actually used felt with permanent glue on another one I had for the same purpose but was unable to find the right color for this particular basket. This is soft and pliable, and because of another review that stated it was very forgiving and could be taken off to re- adjust, I thought I’d give it a try. It did exactly as the reviewer had stated. I would highly recommend.I am happy with the price because of the amount of product supplied. It is a deep red (not orange red), which is what I needed. It is velvety to the touch. Very soft and looks nice.I give it 5 stars.

Worked perfectly.

I recently used this to line foam inside a presentation box. The navy color and velvet texture are nice, and it arrived crease-free as advertised. However, working with it proved trickier than expected.While the adhesive backing sticks adequately, I ended up using additional glue in problem areas (though this could have been due to applying it to foam). A non-adhesive version with separate glue might actually be easier to work with.The biggest challenge is how easily both sides attract dust, dirt, and debris - keep your workspace spotlessly clean or you'll be constantly cleaning the material. It also tends to crease easily during handling, and as a novice, I experienced some bubbling and wrinkling during application.Cutting is straightforward enough, but working with it takes patience and careful handling. The end result looked good, but getting there was more challenging than anticipated. The quality is decent for the price, but if I were doing another project, I'd probably try the non-adhesive version and use my own adhesive.

I built a small box to hold small booklets I make for Music USB Drives I put together. Originally, I was just going to paint the inside of the box, but decided to make it a little nicer by using self-adhesive black velvet. This product fit the bill perfectly, very easy to layout with the paper backing and installs very easy. Very happy with the results!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It was the first suggested to me that had adhesive, was affordable, and looked high quality. It met all expectations or exceeded them.Quality:For the price Im sure its several levels higher in quality than it should be. Excellent stuff here.

I use this to cover boxes. It is easy to use. Looks great on boxes.
