Peter Luger Steak Sauce, 12.6 Oz (Pack of 2)

I ate at Peter Luger Steak House during a recent trip to New York City, and it was a special experience that lived up to all of the hype. Great food and atmosphere.It's famous for its steak sauce...which is ironic because you're really not supposed to eat steaks there sans sauce. The sauce goes, instead, on Luger's famous tomatoes and onions (which are really just overpriced sliced tomatoes and onions), bread, and whatever else you want to put it one.The sauce tastes a bit like seafood cocktail sauce in all honesty.After our return, I got a bit nostalgic for my trip to Peter Luger and ordered this sauce. It's EXACTLY what you get at the restaurant.If you've been to Peter Luger and want to re-live the experience, this is the sauce for you. It's not a traditional steak sauce, so if you order it and expect to get something like A1 or Heinz 57, you'll be mistaken.

One bottle arrived broken

I just placed an order for my second purchase of the Peter Luger Steak Sauce. Ordered the first time on a whim and when I tasted it, I was not that thrilled. Anybody else think it tasted like cocktail sauce?? Tried it with steak the first time and I was not overwhelmed. Kept trying it and before I knew it I was hooked. Now I can't do without it. It's not available on the west coast and I'm almost out, so I'm back as a total convert.
