Connects your MIDI devices to your computer
This works great with MacOS M3 USB-c connector. If your need is to connect your computer to MIDI in/out, this is a good solution.

Bt101 receiver or piano midi
Worked perfectly. I was able to connect midi in and out plus Bluetooth receiver. Now, I am able to connect either Disklavier piano or Digital Bluetooth receiver without fumbling under controller to switch from/ to the other.

Works for guitar pedals.
Does its job for my purposes. I have a Morningstar MC6 Midi controller for my midi-capable guitar pedals. I ran into two pedals that only had midi in, and I was faced with buying a $60 powered midi thru box or trying to see how lossy using a splitter for guitar pedals would be. Fortunately, there is no loss or delay of signal whatsoever. I'm running 5 pedals in my chain and splitting it after the 3rd pedal in the chain.

Accurate duplication of a dense MIDI stream
This cable filled a critical need in my rig, and works exactly as described. I play electronic wind instruments, commonly known as EWIs, and their data output is much more dense than your average keyboard based instrument. Most passive MIDI splitters connected to an EWI skip or mangle messages. They look and feel durable.

Not a splitter or merger, don’t buy!!!
I was really hopeful as this cable worked as stated the first time I used it.Then I started getting really strange results- sending random notes, randomly dropping the MIDI clock, random start/stop messages to my sequencer. Totally unusable…This is when it was being used as a splitter, and only one of the machines receiving midi was on.If I unplugged the cable from the machine that was off the strange issues would stop.So I swapped out the attached midi cables, no change, swapped the inputs from one synth to another and the random behavior just followed this cable. Now it acts like there is a primary plug and a secondary plug… as soon as that secondary plug gets plugged in at the same time as the primary, everything falls apart.Maybe it is a simple problem or is defective, but I plugged it in and didn’t touch it and it developed this problem without being touched. When I use any other midi solution everything works fine.

Doesn't work for connecting two MIDI outputs at the same time
Nice cable, but I found out that you can't use it for merging two MIDI outputs into one, even if only one device is powered on.
