HIC Kitchen Heat Diffuser Reducer Flame Guard with Removable Handle, Stainless Steel
HIC Kitchen Heat Diffuser Reducer Flame Guard with Removable Handle, Stainless Steel Does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. Works great on a gas stove, even on the smallest burner. Well designed and made. NO complaints.

Worked just as described
First one I ordered came bent. Got in touch with seller, sent another one the next day. I used it the day it came to make stuffed peppers. I make them in sauce and so many times the bottom would burn no matter how low I kept the element. Even with that, it was a constant stirring. This worked perfect. No burnt bottom and didn't have to check so many times. I was afraid at first to use on the glass top, but it was fine. Would definitely recommend and the customer service was top notch.

YES! I've been needing this for decades! Why did I wait so long?
This is what I've been missing for decades. I'm an avid camper and cooking evenly has always been the toughest part while out in the wild. I don't know why I didn't think of this or use it sooner.I used this multiple times over a three day camping trip and all I have to say is YES! This is a must have for those who are tired of hot spots while cooking and fear of burning. On the trip I cooked steaks, warmed a glass bowl of rice, cinnamon rolls and a calzone. All of it came out perfect for camping. Especially from what I was use to. I'd say this is a great piece of equipment you need in your kitchen gear and for the price you won't regret it.

Dissipates the heat, a stove burner helper.
Works great, it tames down the heat.

Very high quality
This is of amazingly high quality. It is beautiful. It is shiny and smooth. No sharp edges. A big surprise these days. The handle detaches easily and the plastic part of the handle is pleasing. I will enjoy using this to keep food cooked in my camping pots and pans from burning. The pans don't have thick bottoms.

Works great but it’s not stainless steel!
The handle “may contain stainless steel” however the diffuser is not. Works fine however buyer beware; this item rusts so it is not stainless steel.

Say goodbye to burned food.
The media could not be loaded. We bought this because a guy on YouTube said this might fix our issue with our Omnia Oven buring everything. No matter how low we cooked on it burned. I will skeptical, but I thought this might be worth it. Man was that guy on YouTube right. I got it out of the box cooked with it the first day I had it. I tested it with brownies, and they did and it turned out amazing.I'm thinking, if you have issues with hot spots on your pan, or even if you don't, I would say get this item, it's inexpensive and worth every penny. This is also probably my second review, and I buy a ton of things. This was worth leaving a good review and five stars.

Unique, Fun Way To Change Up Cooking Methods
I had a heat diffuser for years and just wore it out! I'd replaced it with a couple of others, more expensive than this one from HIC Harold Import, but they didn't last. Either the handle wasn't attached well, of the diffuser wasn't put together evenly. This one from HIC I love. This one is perfect! It works great and I can tell I will have it for years. It'll work out to pennies per month by the time I have to replace it LOL. Don't put it in the dishwasher and don't soak it underwater and they DO last for years. These work great, especially on gas stoves. The most common concern is a strong smell at first. Wash it and then put it on the stove with a heavy pot of water and low summer for 30-45 minutes. The new smell goes away. And if it is not holding up (buckling or crinkling) you are likely not using it properly. They aren't meant (as far as I've known using them for over 25 years) to stay on high heat. I learned tofirst use them for macrobiotic cooking but have seen them used for delicate items like carmelizing, candies, chocolates, and more. It's not for rush cooking. It's great for cooking slowly on the stove because food doesn't burn on low and it cooks soooo evenly. I believe it takes less energy to cook something too. It makes grains come out perfectly! It's perfect for nishimi style veggie cooking (little water/long slow cooking,) overall cooking slowly, and making "crunchy" rice. It's such an easy, fun tool to use! Thanks so much!
