Mi Computer Monitor Light Bar - Easy Installation, Extra Computer Lighting w/o Taking Desktop Space, w/Wireless Remote Control Adjusting Lights Easily

I've been working from home for 10+ years and I've recently taken interest in a minimalist desk setup. A more expensive brand of light kept coming up on popular influencer's blogs and videos but I just couldn't fathom spending that much on a lamp. I'm happy to report that this Xiaomi light exceeds my expectations for the price point. It's well built, feels premium, and works brilliantly (no pun intended). I appreciate that the wireless remote is included as I find it frustrating that competitors make you purchase one separately. Naturally I have some hesitation about buying products from lesser known manufacturers, but in this case I'm extremely satisfied and glad I bought this light. I titled this review as a life changer because it really has made an improvement on my desk setup and fatigue looking at my monitor 10+ hours a day. I had a desk lamp before which didn't illuminate my desk very well, was a nuisance in my periphery, and cluttered my desk space. The light bar has made a difference because it draws my attention and focus to just my monitor. If you're on the fence about which light bar to go with, I highly recommend this one. It's well priced, great quality, and easy to use right out of the box.

This monitor light is fantastic. It's wider than what I'm used to, but that makes it actually evenly cover more of the monitor screen. The puck is great. At first I thought I wouldn't use it, but being able to adjust the light and turn it off and on without having to deal with a cord (the puck wirelessly connects to the light) is fantastic for keeping the workspace looking uncluttered. The only drawback of this is that the light was built for thicker monitors. If you have a thin OLED monitor and try to perch this light on top of it, it will topple over if you jiggle your desk or monitor even a little. However, there is a cheap fix: get a cardboard box, cut out a bunch of small 1" x 2" pieces, stack them, tape them to form one block, then use a couple of rubber bands to secure this cardboard block to the inside of the monitor clip (i.e. between the back of your monitor and the clip). You'll have to do a tiny bit of trial and error to figure out how many cardboard pieces to use when you make your cardboard block. Once you do this, the light is securely attached to your monitor.

I love this light. It feels heavy like a quality light, and mine has fallen twice with no issues. The controls are easy and the lighting is perfect .

On the positive side, the light bar itself is pretty great, so is the hinge it attaches to; very solid feel with heavy metal. The light beam seems to cut off well, hitting my desk but not my eyes. Additionally, the physical design of the bar is nice, it's absolutely plain and basic, which looks nice atop a monitor, rather than visible icons or logos/text, for example. However, the remote is pretty poor in my opinion. It's meant to give the impression that it's sturdy, made of metal, and solid. But it's not, it's all soft-touch plastic, feels and sounds loose, is lightweight, and the actual twist articulation grinds on the housing when adjusting the light warmth, it just doesn't feel good enough for nearly $70. Especially since the remote is what you'll be touching every single day. Additionally, the brightness articulation is not smooth/linear, as you twist the dial for brightness there are visible large steps in brightness, which also feels cheap and worse than it should in my opinion. 3.5/5 stars for me.

I was researching vigorously on whether to purchase this Xiaomi Light Bar or the BenQ Halo Light bar. I believe the difference in price between the two units is about $100, with the Xiaomi being the more affordable option. I'll admit, I was wowed by all the bells and whistles that the BenQ Halo had to offer, but I'd figure I'd try the Xiaomi Lightbar first. And if I didn't like it, I'd just give it to my sister. But it turns out I really like this light bar. It's really the lack of bells and whistles that make me like this product so much. It's a very straight-forward product. I won't describe it here, but everything that it does, it does well enough. It's bright enough for my needs, when working late at night, and the color temperatures are sufficient as well. I don't need it to have crazy colors or blinking lights; I just need a cooler tone for the day, and a warmer tone for the evening. The wireless remote for the unit is cool, but a little flimsy. It's a matte black dial, with no etchings or descriptors on it, which fits the aesthetic of my desk. So that's a plus. When actually using it though, the dial feels flimsy, like the disk is about to unscrew itself. You press-in to turn the light bar on or off, but sometimes it doesn't register my press, which can be annoying. The one thing that I do like on the BenQ Halo is that there is an attachment that you can purchase that sits on the top of the light bar mount to hang your webcam off of. My webcam doesn't seem to want to work with my haphazard rigging onto the light bar, so it's off to the side, which isn't a great angle. Oh well. Overall, I really liked that I went with this Xiaomi light bar as opposed to the BenQ Halo light bar. I realized that I don't really need all the bells and whistles that the Halo offers, and that this Xiaomi bar is the best of the budget group. Besides the wireless remote, I haven't had much problems with this product. It tells me that sometimes all the bells and whistles of a product can get in the way of what you simply need sometimes.

I really love this light bar! It helped me with my studies and other work. Although the price tag is quite high, it's worth it. I also loved the adjustable button it gave me. Highly recommended to students or professionals who need a desk lamp.

Ich habe mir die Lampe besorgt um etwas mehr Licht an meinem Arbeitsplatz zu bekommen. Durch den 49 Zoll Bildschirm ist der Platz am Tisch an dem eine Lampe stehen kann, die gleichzeitig den Tisch gut ausleuchtet, begrenzt. Vor der Bestellung habe ich mir ein paar Vergleiche unterschiedlicher Hersteller angesehen. Aufgrund des Preises und der gelobten Qualität in zahlreichen Reviews habe ich mich für dieses Produkt entschieden. Sorgen hatte ich bezüglich folgender Punkte: - Kompatibilität mit einem sehr dünnen curved Bildschirm - Anstrahlen des Bildschirms Als das Paket ankam stellte sich mir zuerst mal die Frage, ob das Produkt schonmal geöffnet wurde. Für das Verschließen des Pakets wurde braunes Klebeband verwendet. Das Durchsichtige runde Klebeband zum Verschließen war aber in Takt also nehme ich nicht an, das es sich hier um eine Rücksendung handelt. Zur Qualität: Das Produkt fühlt sich sehr wertig an. Der Regler für Helligkeit/Lichttemperatur lässt sich gut drehen und klicken. Die Lampe reagiert sofort auf die Eingabe. Die Haptik passt. Montage: Montiert ist das Ganze sehr schnell. Mit einem Gegengewicht, wie man das auch von Webcams kennt, wird die Lampe am oberen Bildschirmrand montiert. Das funktioniert zwar auch bei dünnen Bildschirmen, hier muss man sich aber etwas länger der Feinjustierung widmen. Leuchtbild: Mit dieser Lampe ist mein kompletter Tisch sehr gut ausgeleuchtet. Was jedoch auffällt ist, dass ein Teil des Monitors auch angestrahlt wird. Für mich aber nicht wirklich störend. In den Bildern sieht man es leicht bei schwarzem Hintergrund. Alles in allem echt ein super Produkt, vor allem für den Preis! Auch das einfache Dimmen und Ändern der Farbtemperatur ist sehr gut. Ich werde mir auf jeden Fall eine zweite für meinen anderen Arbeitsplatz besorgen.

The light is very solid. The build quality is superb . There are two colors. White~Yellow. The controller is very nice and it's adding a touch of a minimalist aesthetic

I really like the product and it is very useful if you like to work without an big lights directly in your eye. Only problem is that the back of screen has to be flat for the bar to rest easily and perfectly.

Uso la Xiaomi Mi Computer Monitor Light Bar da ormai qualche anno (dal 2023) e ne sono davvero soddisfatto. Si appoggia facilmente sopra il monitor e illumina molto bene senza creare riflessi sullo schermo, il che è fondamentale per non affaticare gli occhi. La cosa che adoro di più è il telecomando wireless: è comodissimo poter regolare sia l’intensità della luce che la temperatura colore senza dover toccare la lampada. È davvero una chicca per chi passa molte ore davanti al PC. La qualità costruttiva è molto buona, la lampada è ben rifinita e stabile. Consiglio questa light bar a chi vuole una soluzione semplice ma efficace per migliorare l’illuminazione sulla scrivania senza ingombri.
