Morakniv Eldris Fixed-Blade Pocket-Sized Knife with Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade, Lanyard and Firestarter, 2.2-Inch

To neck knife kit or not to neck knife kit? I love it! I really do. I hovered over this one for a long time and I am thrilled to have it in hand. This is my first Morakiv, but I remembered Cody Lundin wearing one on every episode of Dual Survival, and that's a pretty convincing endorsement in my opinion. The Sandvik steel was a big selling point with me as well and it is very impressive in person. This thing is small and light, but I don't think you'll be wearing it under a shirt. This is a real working tool that you could work with all day long. The handle is beefy and secure. The rubberized handle looks great and adds a lot to the grip. I was super excited to break it out upon arrival and absolutely love the red color. I also bought my girlfriend the blue one (I know. I'm the best, right?) and I really like the color of it as well. I'm sure the black one is cool and I almost bought it, but I wanted them to be an unnatural color so they would be easy to find on the forest floor. Buying this was an easy decision, but I went back and forth on the neck knife kit and whether I really needed it especially since I was buying two. Do you need it? Nope. Am I happy with it anyway? Yes. First of all, this thing is NOT going to just fall out of it's sheath...ever. It locks nice and tight. I suppose after a lot of use and gravity that it may loosed over it's lifetime, which is one of the reasons I'm happy with it anyway. Also the firesteel it comes with is very high quality, the right size to add to the necklace and rains sparks like champ,especially against the spine of this blade. The leather safety strap is nice tight an satisfyingly clicks when it snaps into place. It holds the knife snugly and serves it's purpose very well. At the end of the day, you are going to spend at least the $10 bucks on this quality of firesteel if that's what you're after, so you basically get the leather safety strap for free. Morakiv has won me over big time with this one.

Fantastic little knife. Went in my hiking bag as a backup. Love that it can strike a ferro rod. Came very sharp and for a little knife the handle fits my hand perfect.

This little knife is amazing! Dont let its size fool you. Its perfect for a neck knife but can also be worn on the belt if the holder is purchased seperate. I found one for under $3 on Amazon. This knife is RAZOR SHARP right out of the package. I was putting some paracord on the handle and it slipped out of the sheath and sliced a stitches worthy cut into my pinky finger. So be careful, its like a box cutter. I love that the spine will strike a fire rod. The only issue i had was trying to figure out how to attach the ferro rod onto the sheath. Check out the pictures to see my custom modifications. Now its perfect. The rod was a little noisy when it banged against the case but i solved that problem with the little branded leather tag that came with it. I super glued the tag to the case just beneath where the rod was positioned and it worked like a charm. The paracord I used was included and was the perfect amount to make an adjustable neck rope using simple fishing knotts. The clip i ended up using allows me to unclip the rod for ease of use, yet keeps it handy and with the sheath at all times. Im pretty proud of the way it turned out. By the way, you do not need the holster thing to wear it as a neck knife, it WILL NOT drop out on its own, you cant even shake it out. But i like the way it looks :) Hope this review helps. Fantastic knife.

I've had this knife for a few months now, and I love it. The Mora Eldris is a comfortable fit in hand great for fine tasks. (Note I'd say that the handle is at capacity in my hand, if your hands are XL The handle will feel slight lengthwise in your hand.) The blade comes razor sharp and holds a good edge. 90% spine on the knife is great for scraping bark or firesteel. I purchased the package with the neck lanyard and the firesteel. I've done a tremendous amount of running, climbing, jumping, etc. Outside of the knife flailing, (which is to be expected) you don't have to worry about losing your knife. I love this knife! Especially for the convenience of neck carry where I don't have clothing with pockets/belt. The weight in my opinion is plenty light to make carry unnoticeable and comfortable. I haven't attempted batoning, I honestly have no intention of doing so with a blade of this size. EXCELLENT prime shipping from seller, thank you I appreciate that! I almost forgot to mention I took an elastic hair tie and tethered my firesteel to the sheath to eliminate the knocking. They produce ones with theses rubber implements that are integrated into the band that help prevent slipping. Just an option I thought I'd mention, not that there aren't others. (It would be nice if Mora had integrated a silicone implement to the sheath to house the firesteel to keep it from further bouncing around. Although i wouldn't worry about losing the ferro rod with the standard option.)

Blase is straight, strong, sharp and smooth, quality is exceptional, color is perfect, this Mora Eldris has a perfect blade thickness that is extremely functional for Bushcraft outdoor skills especially with that very sharp 90° spine and it is most definitely reasonably priced! The functionality of this knife is unmatched by any other Bushcraft neck knife on the market.

Mora quality, tad pricey however sturdy neck knife

Si vous aimez un outil petit, maniable et pratique pour vos sorties dans la verte, ce couteau est fait pour vous. Je ne recommande pas le port autour du coup pour des raisons évidente de sécurité. A privilégier le port en ceinture ou dans la poche. Facile à aiguiser et robuste. Le bémol, le prix, mais quand on aime...

Coltello veramente fantastico. Con le sue dimensioni ridotte risulta veramente pratico e maneggevole, è veramente leggero e la lama arriva già affilata come un rasoio. Si presta bene a lavori di fino tipo intaglio, ovviamente per lavori più pesanti è inutilizzabile ma mi sembra abbastanza ovvio. Mora è ormai sinonimo di qualità. Consegna avvenuta con un giorno in anticipo.
