Kohler 87998 Flush Valve

Q: anyone know of a video that shows how to take out the old assembly and put this one in? I can find only videos on replacing just the flapper.

Here's a video showing the installation process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_96_yx3-boQ Where this fellow says to use Olive Oil as a lubricant I used Hayward Pool and Spa Lube on both sides of the new seal. Otherwise the removal and installation process I used is exactly as shown in the video.

Q: what is the flush valve kit for k3435 toilet

K-3435 toilets had several different versions during production. To distinguish the different versions of the toilets, a letter code was stamped on the backwall of the tank after the model number (example: 3434-AB). The different versions include AA, AB, BB or FB. Each version of the toilet had a different style flush valve, as indicated below. Toilet Version Part Number AA Flush Valve 83093 AB Flush Valve 83486 BB Flush Valve 83664 FB Flush Valve 86972

Q: Will it work for a Kohler 3397EB?

I doubt it. Checked models online and yours doesn’t come up on the list of models this valve fits.

Q: Does this fit a Kholer K3451 toilet?

Depending on the height of the black tube is what you looking for. Be sure it is the same as yours. But should work.
