Amazing, I improved 200 pts with this!!! dEFINETLY WOULD RECOMMED THIS TO OTHER STUDENTS TAKING THE SAT.....sorry for the caps, i didn't realize caps lock was on

I think we own just about every SAT book out there, that is how much practice my 2 high schoolers have put in. This book is incredibly more difficult than the actual SAT test. They choose the most obscure words that would never make it on the test. And, yes, we have memorized about 800 challenging words that recur on the actual SAT so it is not for want of vocabulary on our part. Some of the answers are politically incorrect, which we know is never the correct answer on the SAT. Passages are impossible to unravel, even with the answers in front if you. I really would not recommend this book....

I gave my daughter this good workbook for her SAT practice. This book gave my daughter the intensive hands-on practice she needed to get the score she wants on the SAT. She took the tests, checked the answers, discovered her strength, and finally improved her weak areas. All questions are answered and explained, with detailed analyses pointing out why the correct answers are the right ones and the alternative answers are not.She also found out why each correct answer is the right one, and determine her estimated score. She is glad that this book includes self-appraisal details to help her score her SAT essay questions. My daughter was exposed to SAT fundamentals from 9th grade when she enrolled in Beestar's online SAT program at hs.beestar.org. Over time, the program has made a big difference. The exercises are designed for fundamental skills, and are excellent for the upcoming new SAT standards. With such accumulated skills over time, the final preparation becomes much smooth. It is more for checking weak spots and building confidence. Eventually my daughter's SAT score is probably the highest in her class. She attributes her top score to both early little by little accumulation and the final intensive preparation.

Some of the Critical Reading and Writing questions are written poorly, i.e. they are not indicative of the type of question that appears of the SAT. Overall, the questions are challenging, but my students scored lower than they usually do simply because of some poorly-written questions.
