My first one is 2 years old now, and it's still running fine, but I wanted more plants, so I decided to add another unit. Wow! They really seemed to have updated and improved their product! The first one was great, but this is even better! The little fan on top is a great addition, and so are the little stickers to keep algae from growing too much. Honestly algae never affected my plants, so it's not a big deal either way, but it is a nice addition.My favorite thing about this is the line in the manual about pollination. "Most people don't have bees in their home" This made my day! So funny.

The iDoo Hydroponics growing system is super easy to set up. I'm growing herbs for cooking and it's much more effortless than growing the herbs outside in the summer. They are continually watered and receive the proper amount of light. The water pump inside the unit is super quiet, but if you listen closely you'll hear it running. The grow lights remain on for about 18 hours and off for 6 hours each day. This occurs automatically based on the first time you plug it in. I recommend this system for anyone who wants a small garden in their home. You'll need to supply the seeds, however.

I seriously thought it was a marketing gimmick to say these systems grow plants so much faster than soil, but I was wrong (happily)!I started micro dwarf tomatoes in seed starter in beginning of February. Then I started seeds for micro dwarf tomatoes in the iDoo a full month later.The hydroponics tomatoes are already getting ready to flower (mid April). Still waiting on the ones in soil! I'm shocked, and very excited. I swear, the plants grow so fast, they are bigger in the morning than when I went to bed the night before, lol.No problems with the light timer, pump works fine. Weirdly, tho, I have noticed the plants on the side where the pump directs the water grow just slightly smaller than the other side of the unit. I thought that was odd, but maybe it's because the water is disturbed unevenly. I do like the AG pump system better, how it bathes the seeds with nutrient solution instead of just pushing the water to one side, but it's not really a big deal, the plants are all still growing and healthy.All in all I would say this is a really easy system for anyone just starting out with hydroponics and would recommend and strongly encourage you give it a try if you enjoy growing things. These units can grow food (vegetables), herbs, and flowers very easily. You really just have to pay attention to how large the plant will be full grown. You obviously will not be able to easily take care of 10 cherry tomato plants all at once. One or two, sure. If growing herbs, depending on what you're growing, you can do more plants. If you're going to grow something that's bigger than a dwarf plant, you'll have to learn some pruning skills, but honestly, it's easy. Go for it!

This is my second system. This one has been improved from the first model. They have added a view window on the side so you can see the water level. I have grown cucumbers and tomatoes in the new system. Have a few adjustments to make to the next planting. But have cucumbers even though I read that you can't grow them.

I am so happy that I went with this one vs. some of the others I looked it, it is SO easy to use and all of the seeds that I have planted so far (chives, dill, parsley) have sprouted in like 1 week! It's amazing, I wish I had bought it sooner and have been thinking about buying one (since the price is so reasonable) for my two best friends.I personally highly recommend!

The light is bright. Make sure you have the light running during the day or you will be scared as hell if you wake up in the middle of the night and it is shining bright…it will make you think someone turned the lights on or you over slept. My plants started growing within days. After a few weeks, I transplanted them to pots with soil. Best purchase I could make. I bought the seeds separately.

After the product's 1 year warranty, my LED light start to flickering and warning alarm (low water level) give false alert. I contacted IDOO support, I was told they only sale the entire product and don't sale parts. This is not good for the environment, perfectly repairable product but will add to the local landfill.

Great device for the price. I have sprouted quite a few seeds so far including salad, leeks, tomatoes. It's too small to finish the tomatoes in, but did a great job starting them. I moved them th another system Idoo has where the lights raise up higher. I am impressed with this machine so far. All of my plants are young yet, I will try to update in another month or so when things get bigger. But I was impressed enough I vought more than one!
