I have used nearly all of the AHAVA products for quite some time now. Regardless of the type of product, I have never suffered a break-out, rash, or any other form of skin irritation. Before I can consider a facial product, my first consideration has to be its effect upon my highly sensitive skin. I have used this facial exfoliation for one year now, it has maintained the clarity of my pores, has successfully created a clean and glowing appearance, and has lowered the issues that I had previously suffered in my T-zone. The texture of this product is particularly soothing, something of great importance in a facial exfoliant. This will not rub your face raw, and leave red, angry spots after each use. The exfoliant material is a very, very, fine level of grit. It cleans your pores well, all the while maintaining a calming and refreshing feel upon your skin. This Exfoliator seems to work in a very efficient and effective manner. I use just the tiniest dab upon my facial close, spread it evenly around my face, and gently clean in a circular motion with light pressure. This is a product which I use daily, and it lasts for many, many months. The aroma, as with all AHAVA products, is mild and light. No make-up product will work miracles. In the end, much can be achieved with just the lowest priced cleaner, but steady and effective use. We all have different type of skin, and can react in an extremely different manner to a product that is perfect for another person. I only write this review because I have used this product for such a long time. Nothing, absolutely nothing good can be determined by a facial product judgment after a brief time period of weeks, or even months. It takes a very long time indeed to see the full effect of a facial product upon your skin. Many, many layers of skin must grow, fall-away, and repeat this process. You must also keep in mind that nothing will work with a heavy smoker, a sun worshiper, or someone consuming excessive amounts of alcohol, among other things. You must eat healthily, exercise, have a good vitamin and mineral regimen, and most of all, you must never leave the house without a sun screen of a high factor. I wear sun screen every day of the year, of about a SPF 50. If you do all of these things, over a long period of time, then you can begin to make determinations and judgments upon the efficacy of the facial care product. The only exception is when one experiences a bad reaction to a product. Should that occur, one must immediately discontinue use of the product. I would be very reluctant to go back to a product that had already caused a problem, Buy from reputable sellers, they will all accept a sparsely-used facial product upon hearing that a bad reaction was suffered as a result of use of the product. There are many products out there, try something else, you will find something that works well for your own specific needs. I highly recommend this AHAVA Exfoliator. It has worked very well for me, a non-smoking, non sun-worshipping, etc. , constant sun screen wearer, for a period of a good year. Perhaps it will do the same for you.

A lot of exfoliating products are so rough and damaging to my skin. This is the only one that seems to help my skin rather than tear it apart. I love Dead Sea products. The Dead Sea mud has so much nutrients that are great for the skin, and I feel like this brand uses it the best. There are times I use this daily and times of the year that I use it a couple of times a week. Either way, my skin responds so well to it. Definitely a must have and holy grail of exfoliators.

I have many allergies and highly sensitive skin. So far so good with the Ahava Facial Mud Exfoliator. I use this product twice weekly, gently massaging it into my skin (for me the key words are gentle massage.) After use, my skin looks radiant and healthy with no skin irritation. I have tried many skin care products including a variety of organics, all with dismal results. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this Ahava product to work for me. However, I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome and will purchase again.

Good defoliator and gentle on the face.

I have tried a number of exfoliators and this is the best of them, at a range of prices. The price of this product is very reasonable considering how excellent it is. It is gentle and yet strongly effective. I highly recommend it! It's well worth the $27 price, and when I think of the money I'm saving by not getting facials it's a great saving. My 65 year old skin has been through a lot so I am especially thankful to find such a fine product. I'm also using some of their other products which I also love.

I have been using this stuff for about 2 years now and have used every day in the shower. I don't wear make up and I always get comments on how nice my skin looks. And I do think that it helps prevent breakouts and for me gives me younger, softer looking skin. So I was so sad to see the the store I was getting it from no longer sells it (Ulta) So I went here to order, got 3 of them...since I don't ever like to be without one. And I don't know if the formula was changed but this now seems to have a medicated smell to it. The others that I use did not, they smelled more like a mud/earthy smell. I even compared the two, same texture, same container but the smell is just different. I also find that this doesn't leave my face as soft of the others have and it dries it out more. I will continue to give it a chance--but the smell is very strong...reminds me a oxy pad. For now I am giving it 3 stars because of the smell and how must it dries your skin out.
