MEGUIAR'S MGL-WRFC7 W7000 Mirror Glaze Professional Soft Buff 8" Foam Cutting Pad

This Pad has done amazing work on everything it touchs on my cars. It truley removes swirl makes when I use it with McGuires Ultimate Compound, its just the right cut pad for clear coat finishes. 3000 rpm speed works best for me with machine. I also had amazing results when I compounded 2 different RVs that had a moderate amount of oxidation along with McGuires Fiberglass restoring compound It cut right through the oxidation leaving finish flawless and shiny. In some areas it needed to be done over due to that side of RV saw more sun and got oxidized more, but it did the job! Remember to clean pad as you go get rid of dried on compound so you have a fresh pad to reapply compound to. Always damped pad before you start.

Bought this to go along with the DEWALT DWP849X 7-Inch/9-Inch Variable Speed Polisher with Soft Start . Fits perfectly with the hook and loop backing. Great to learn buffing with. I do prefer the hex-logic pads because they seem to produce less splatter. Used with m105. I went with Meguiar's pad because most their products are high quality with a good reputation.

I used this pad for about one hour each day on two different days about 10 days apart. I switched from the Cleaner Wax on Day 1 to the Ultimate Compound on Day 2, as the Cleaner Wax was not removing much of the oxidization on my RV. It appeared that the glue holding the Velcro cloth to the foam pad had melted.

This is the only way to go with high speed polishers. My air powered polisher used to have a connecting nut in the center of the disc. One slip up and you totally wrecked your paint job. I purchased the entire system years ago you must have the HUB ASSEMBLY TO USE THESE. Its a velcro system that attaches to any polishing system. the 3 stage system is the only way to go for severe cases of neglect. CUT, CLEAN, POISH. thus i bought the RED for cut, Yellow for clean, Beige for polish. I don't reccomend mixing waxes as thats why I have the 3 stage system

This is a suprisingly good product, combined with the rubbing compound it does a great job. I was impressed with the way it removes light scratches and makes the paint look brand new.

great cutting pad, but the white attachment backing will separate from the foam very easily if not removed from the buffer with great care
