GREAT Opener
This is the standard all the rest should be held to. Quiet, quick, notifies your phone of door status.

Easy, small and quiet
I have a roll up door that this fits onto, and if you do too this is way better than a chain drive overhead model. It’s just a light little box in the corner and it is mostly silent. It even is short enough to fit over an entry door which is the only space it will fit. It has a quality feel to the parts, it isn’t cheaply built. Not sure why some say the install needs to be by a professional. Sure it takes some fiddling, and the programming instructions, even with the video took a few tries, but it is actually easier to put up alone than a big overhead unit. I don’t think the door is especially slow either, it’s quite an adequate speed. I like the light that can go anywhere and stays on when unloading at night, and the wireless opening button is also good for locating it. I haven’t yet needed the backup battery but power goes out regularly here so I’m glad to have it. The only thing Genie could fix is the feel of the button on the car remote. It doesn’t have a detent so it doesn’t feel like you pressed anything. It’s a “squeezing a rubber puck” feeling. I’m used to it now, and I just squeeze the puck once and trust that it works, and it has every time. I’ll buy another one of these Genies for my other door if I ever need one.

works good
works well, got a bad wall mount controller. they sent one right away and worked perfect. other than that, it works very well and is really quiet.

Easy to install.
The installation was pretty easy, the programming was mostly easy, except for the fact that my newer car doesn't have homelink. The new system requires a subscription to use in the car. I'm too cheap to pay a monthly fee to open my garage door so I bought a remote and keep it in the vehicle....

Do not buy it.
At first I really enjoyed this door opener. We'll, that was after I was able to get it installed. It lasted just over a year and a half and then the PLASTIC drive shaft broke and the door dropped. In fairness a cat ran under and caused the unit to stop suddenly. How is this not a safety recall? I was able to contact customer service through chat and now I have to call in to arrange payment forshipping of the new plastic drive shaft. Then maybe if I sit it close to the unit it will just fix itself. So now I have to pay several hundred dollars to get someone to come out and remove the unit to they can put a new drive shaft in it. Wonder how long this process will take and them how long this piece will last. Customer service is a nightmare. They drop calls, don't call you back and even worse they are from overseas and hard to understand. Still trying to get the part on order. In the mean time, I look forward to manually opening and closing the garage door and then walking around to lock it so that I can secure my house. Way to go genie. Should have gone with the overhead door company.

Great product! The 6072h-B
The installation process was easy! Set up was 1-2-3 following easy to understand directions. I ordered a separate kit with a second mounting bracket more as preventative maintenance. And battery back up was put to test when hurricane Milton arrived 4 days later!

Great Motor, easy to self-install
The assembly documentation guides you step by step through the installation process. The unit is easy to connect with the rod and secure on the wall. Programming is not really intuitive but with the instruction pretty doable. Also programming the included remote control to other garage door systems is not always working. And at the end:If you have a lot of noise when opening/closing you might need to replace the rollers, which I had to do. Warning: never replace the bottom roll without the door in full up-position!!!

Be sure your garage door system will work with this!!
I really wanted to like this garage door opener! The opener logic, simple installation, strong dc motor really was compelling. It's so quiet my cat wasn't afraid to sit right next to the door when it opened. Unfortunately after longer than a year I have to disengage the opener and order a different opener. I had at least three garage door technicians look at the system and every part of my garage door except the door itself replaced. It just doesn't work with my garage door system. The door works just fine when opened manually or with a chain/belt driven opener. Something about this style doesn't work and I have grown tired of having to rewind cords or put the door back on it's track. It's kind of dangerous when the door fails and I've been lucky not to be hurt. I've fixed the door at least four times and after a few months it always fails again in some way. Like I said I really wanted to like this design but it just doesn't work with my garage door.
