Having being used to a crepe pan on gas, when I moved to an induction hob, the results were not as good. So I wanted to make Banana and Nutella Crepes to bring back memories of Paris. This piece of kit is so easy to use, lightweight and fantastic for non stick crepes. It does mean I am likely to put on weight as it is so convenient to use, we have had them at least twice as a lunchtime snack in a week

It heats up so quickly , it doesn’t need oiling constantly I put a thin coat of oil on initially then dry fry between pancakes resulting still in soft pancakes . I use the BBC food pancake recipe . The paddle to spread took me about 3 goes to get the perfect pancakes it’s so so easy . No sticking to a frying pan and you can cook a batch up a lot quicker with this .

Purchased for pancake day as I was fed up of them sticking to any pan I used and this made life so much easier. You can make some really good sized crepe pancakes as well as American style ones too. The plate heats up quickly and cooks the pancakes well. The tool however are rubbish, firstly they are untreated wood so everything sticks to them and is a nightmare to clean but also the t-shaped tool was in two parts when it came and even when put together still feels very flimsy. Very easy to clean after just needing a wipe down with a warm soapy cloth.
