Used product today for burgers. Quality items. Press is durable and nice cast iron. Cover is large and will fit 4 burgers under it perfectly fine. Would recommend.

The stainless dome arrived wrapped in plastic with the cast iron press encased in Styrofoam nestled beneath the dome. Even though the Styrofoam was broken into several pieces, it did its job of containing the heavy press and no damage occurred to either the dome or the press. The handle for the dome was enclosed in a bag along with the bolts (2 bolts and 2 acorn nuts along with an extra bolt and nut). They are shiny like the dome but I doubt that they are stainless so will see if they tarnish or rust with time. I like that the dome is taller than most of the flat domes out there, and the rolled edge sits perfectly flat on my griddle. Absolutely no paperwork or instructions was included so I have no idea if the press is pre-seasoned, but I will wash it and season it like any cast iron appliance before using it. For the money, this set looks to be of good value and I look forward to using it. Will update this review of any problems come up.

I really like this product, but I have to say something about the packaging. Everything was packed well except for the metal handle which was separate and had to be installed. This metal handle, looks like it's made from stainless steel was loose inside this domed cover, rattling around with no attachment to anything during the entire shipping from China I assume. Making this domed cover look like two mosquitoes playing ping pong. They're permanent dents on the inside pointing outside the photo indicates. It doesn't affect the operation of the cover, looks bad. I'm not going to return it because I probably get the same thing. Maybe next time they could at least tape the handle to something and they shipped it but, we're talking about China here so, what can I say. The Press looks well made too but it was at least attached and packed very well. I take this size so at least I can get two or three burgers to melt cheese at once. I guess the dents give it character. I can just make up a story saying that whatever I was grilling wasn't quite dead yet and didn't like to be covered up.

This came scratched horribly & dents everywhere from the way it was packed & lid is thin material please dont put press inside lid when packing it scratched lid & put badd dents in it from movement of heavy press inside of lid

I like it has the weight for our smash burgers!
