Good solid budget lens for new photographer.
The lens is heavy metal and I absolutely love how it feels when you adjust it. The dials are easy to ready and compliment the design aesthetically and from a functional design point. The add-on focus wrench sticks on with a couple of pieces of 3M tape that you just have to peel off and it makes it much easier to adjust.I only had the kit lens 16-50mm for my Sony a6400 and wanted another lens with a lower light aperture for portraits and landscape photography. The f 1.4 aperture is great for blurring backgrounds and getting some good portrait shots. You can adjust the aperture to get sharper pictures overall.I would recommend this lens for anybody getting into the hobby and wanting a little bit more of a challenge than autofocus as I Believe the biggest limitations in photography are the photographer themselves and spending thousands of dollars on gear won't help you unless you know what you're doing. Professional photographers can justify the price of expensive lenses as they know what they're doing and it takes money to make money.Great if you like taking pictures indoors and have control over your environment and range from which your shooting. And if your adventurous, take it out for street photography and see what you can do. Great price for anyone wanting to try something different.

Really nice lens for Nikon Z50
Wow! Really nice lens.I recently picked back up the hobby of photography and a Nikon Z50. Which is a really nice camera.I wanted some lens options and found this one.Being manual focus will be fun and challenging but this really is a nice lens for the money. The lens is solid and almost has a compact size and feel to it.Packaging was superb and I can't be happier and again I'm looking forward to taking photos and sharpening my manual focus skills!

Good for your money!
The focus and lightening are pretty clear but when you download the pictures you can see some of the noise in them. It’s easily portable and the performance is great for the price.

Good and practical manual lens
This and a 20mm autofocus lens are, so far, the most used lenses with my Nikon Zfc (out of a total of 5 available lenses). The images are solid with only minor vignetting at fast focal ratios. The chromatic aberrations are practically not there, though i have not tested it yet against the Moon or bright stars which would pop any CA. No noticeable coma, very flat to the edge in daylight shots. Again, I still need to try it at night against stars, but as with the CA, I do not anticipate anything major from what I have seen in post processing. This is a very inexpensive lens in the scheme of things, but it has worked very well. I like manual lens control and this is easy to use. I would prefer that the aperture and focus rings were swapped consistent with many other lenses, including Nikon, but in practice I became used to the arrangement fairly quickly.

Decent for the price
I've taken some decent pictures with this. Can be hard to use and best when you're in a calm slow environment.

Can’t go wrong
This is a well built manual focus lens. Pretty easy to adjust focus and aperture rings, and can perform very well in low lighting. The pictures are surprisingly sharp when shooting wide open, and allow you to achieve a very shallow depth of field. No regrets on picking up this lens.

Outstanding lense
I am extremely pleased with this lens. I am very new to the hobby of photography. So I cannot elaborate on any of the technical specifications. The feature that is the most impressive to me that I am able to take decent photos in very low light conditions, indoors even in the evening. The price is reasonable and I am pleased with the quality of the images I am able to take. This is a manual lens but I don’t mind this at all. The quality is good, it works as advertised and I enjoy using it more than the other two lenses I own.

Beautiful for the price
Was looking for a different focal length on a budget and found this bad boy, built like a tank and never leaves my camera. Yeah manual focus is hit or miss but thats more of a user error most of the time and you get used to it and once you practice zone focusing it gets a lot easier. Focus and aperture rings are smooth and easy to slide, when you hit focus the thing is tack sharp. 10/10 would buy again. Not sure how the quality will turn out on amazon but random picture included just cause.
