408C works on Zebra Printers!
This stuff is awesome: MG Chemicals Rubber Renue 408C. We have a mix of the newest and oldest Zebra printers. As a test, we decided to try to restore the rubber on the platen rollers of our oldest printers. This is that white rubber roller underneath the printhead. These rubber rollers were so old and dried out with no grip and super smooth, about 15 to 20 year old printers. We put the 408C on a paper towel and wiped the rollers, and within about 2 minutes they felt like brand new rubber rollers with that new grip feeling. I would recommend this product for zebra platen rollers for sure. Oh! and as a bonus... It smells like wintergreen mint and not like strong chemicals.

Makes rubber new again.
Amazing product that brings old rubber parts back to life. Worked like a charm on my rubber parts on my laser printer. The paper roller would constantly missfeed the paper and jam. Love the smell but be careful, have plenty of ventilation.

Great Product
This works well on equipment with rubber wheels that are worn and replacement wheels hard to find and/or replace. The smell maybe strong to some but it dissipates pretty fast.

Restored my old dried out platen from 70's typewriter
I was skeptical at first when I read the reviews of this product. But it vastly improved the platen on my 60's typewriter, the Hermes Baby's platen into a supple and dull looking platen like it was just replaced. Mind you, I only applied 1 coat for now. It seems to get absorbed by the platen almost instantly when it is applied. So multiple coats should penetrate deep into the platen to make it softer so each key type should become more pronounced. Awesome product, recommened for those that have vitage typewriter that has dried out platens that are rock hard. Be sure to apply it in well ventilated area. Smell is similar to Ben-Gay topical cream.CAUTION: Be sure not to get any of the stuff on plastic or it will start to disintegrate it. Best to take the platen out of the assembly or anything that's not rubber.

Great product for rubber restoration!
This stuff is amazing! It instantly restored the suction to my “dry-rotted “rubber NAB reel holders and the pinch roller to “like new” functionality and look!

I love this stuff
I have used this on old power cords/harnesses for a while and I love it. It cleans and brings life back to cords that would otherwise be cut off and replaced. It has saved the original power cords that had gotten stiff with age on several of my vintage stereo receivers. It also made the harness on my vintage 1959 boat look like new. I cannot praise this product enough! It does have a distinct smell but it isn't a strong chemical odor like you'd expect - it smells like peppermint which I find quite tolerable, but I don't recommend hanging around and breathing it long term..it is still a chemical after all..

Saved my printer from a premature demise...
Do you have an older printer that's not been feeding reliably? Perhaps it's picking up multiple pages at once, or unable to grip any page on its rollers. Then this product is for you.I had an old Samsung monochrome laser that didn't want to feed pages anymore. The service manual suggested cleaning the rollers with alcohol, but that didn't help too much. After some more research, I discovered this product and figured it was worth a shot. After dissembling the printer, applying this to the rollers, allowing it to dry and reassembling the printer, I've found it's running a lot better now. Not bad for 15 year old printer and. an application of 408C Rubber Renue.
