Stellar sticker! Very detailed. Gave to my uncle who retired as an engineer at NASA & it was more than fun to tease him as he opened his gift, then yelled, "We always said we'd give you the moon, Uncle Bill!" He thought is was all too great. Details weren't too bad and he said he'd put in his observatory he recently finished building on his property. Probably think I'm some fake reviewer, but I am just a niece who is happy with a purchase that was already difficult for a man like him. He just turned 70yrs & this was a very new concept for him- a super powerful glowinthedark moon-sticker...he can enjoy day or night. I looked all over amazon for a moon sticker this size too & w/true to the moon, replicated characteristics. I'm not a scientist, but since my uncle was pleased w/how it looked, I believe other's looking at this would be just as pleased or smitten by its rad-ness. OH! The item is packaged in what seems to be "too big/wasteful box", YET IT ISN'T! I tried to find any box that'd fit this moon sticker- safe & flat, and what it comes in I'm sure has been tested over and over again in something less bulky. Regardless, I think Amazon ships the item [packages it too?] So I am only giving details on packaging feed back for those who get cranky when items like this arrive in "too large of boxes"...i say do like i did & be happy you received a quality product, shipped in a quality box- AND RE-USE THE BOX LIKE I DID & MOST DO! This sticker is too good for such a good price & although I am writing waaay too long of a review for an item that probably weighs less than an oz., being able to gift this successfully and proudly is all that matters/mattered to me- at Christmas! Little things luke this sticker had an impact on me, my family, & my uncle; so in this moment of feeling grateful I want to share my shopping experience with you all. Trustworthiness in businesses/seller's has been difficult to hard to come by "these days" [and I am only 33yrs]! Thank you to MAFOX & to Amazon!!! PS-i wish I'd taken a pic. Worth every penny. I've always wanted one of these. I am a 42 year old bachelor. My apartment is a testament to my eccentric tastes. It's basically a man cave. I decided to decorate it with themes. It's one part bistro, one part nightclub, one part art gallery, and one part Disneyland. All the things I love. I love the night sky. Two years ago I put up glow in he dark stars in the living room with black lights. Then added Philips Hue lighting. I have a great night thing going on, but it needed something else. It needed a moon. This was a perfect side for my small apartment. The black lights light it up and since it appears to be based on a photo of the moon as opposed to an illustration, it actually looks super real! So much so that I almost looks 3D. This is an optical illusion based on the fact that we look at the real moon all of our lives knowing it is a sphere not a disc.Also, it stays lit for a long time when you turn off the lights. Way longer than the stars. In fact, the stars practically don't even glow unless the black lights are on. But this moon is beautiful.

I LOVE it & it's perfect! I hope you can see it & some stars in the dark picture- it was taken with the lights out & the moon & stars look like I took a pic of the night sky! I am so glad that I found this!

We have this placed up high on a wall in an East-facing bedroom. The room gets great light in the earlier part of the day but very little in the evening. That said, it does not glow well at bedtime. It does glow — but nothing like pictured on web site or packaging. It glows slightly better when the overhead fixture is on for a while before lights out but we usually use lamps. I don’t know how it would do if it collected direct light for a while because I have neither the time nor desire to sit with a flashlight trained on it during bedtime routine.Bottom line: Product is so-so. Looks neat when you’re able to see it across the room. If you have a West-facing room, it may work beautifully. If you don’t, I wouldn’t expect it to look like the picture.

This is actually for my daughter's room (she is 16 now) and misses seeing the stars in her room when she was younger. She loves it! It has awesome illumination when you give it light. Unfortunately, her room doesn't have a lot of natural light so we do have to help it glow, but the effects are awesome. It is best if you have it by a light fixture or an area where it gets natural light to get the best glow effect.

First off I must say being a 80's kid I was not sure about buying this given that when I was 8 I was always was asking my parents for glow in dark anything just to replace it a day later because the glow was gone. But OMG when I took it out of its sleeve and saw the glow I was floored. Glow paint can't glow like this moon. I used it as a night light to get through my house. It's just that bright!! I love it and would recommend it to anyone.I just want to update that this moon has been on Wall exactly 2 years and still glows the same as day I bought it. Must buy if your looking.
