Funny & Hilarious
The media could not be loaded. Just as funny and sexy like I expected. This ecchi manga is even recommended by Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece.

Strong start to this series, but be warned about the future!
Full disclosure: I am completely caught up on this series as of this post, so I wanted to talk about it a bit as a whole to give warning to those who are starting it fresh. I shall try to avoid major spoilers, but some might come out so be warned! The first few volumes of this series are a real treat. It's sexy, funny, and heartwarming. The interactions between the main characters, slowly developing feelings while also playing up the ecchi style fun of this series is a real treat. The character designs are unique, the art is fantastic, and the story does a great job of balancing actual plot with full on fan service. The problems start to occur a few volumes in. It obvious that the author has seen the success of works like My Dress Up Darling, and begins to actively steer this series more in that direction. The fan service dips dramatically, the cosplay crafting elements ramp up wildly, and the series begins shifting focus more and more into focus on the female characters and our main male lead slowly disappears.Heck, there is even a character introduced later that is clearly a Marin analogue, who looks, acts, and even speaks like the character in MDUD.The relationships and love triangles that the series started with fall away more and more the further you get in this work, until the entire series become more about going to cons and getting your photo taken than actually developing real plot elements. You can tell that they are working to adapt this into an anime by how much it has been scrubbed of so much of what it started as.I loved the first few volumes, but after that I'm sorry but it just lost me.

Surprsingly Sweet story about ambition and being forced to grow up.. kicking and screaming
This series (that is now an anime) is a surprisingly sweet story about otakus (those who fear real life people so much they prefer to have imaginary romances with cartoon character worlds, and obsess over romance in manga and anime rather than live real life) where several characters use their shared interests, friendships, romantic feelings and ambition to overcome each others fears of rejection/getting close to real life people (3 dimensional variety) instead of the 2 dimensional (illustrated) variety. In the end they settle on the 2.5 dimensional world (a world where real people bring to life imaginary people though cosplay)Rated 15+ with enough naughty bits, love triangles and romance to leave the reader both giggling and crying with joy or sympathy as they hide under their sheets reading it.Really my only complaint is that "Ashford" the cosplay alter ego of the main male character doesn't feature as regularly as "Lilliel" the alter ego of one of the main female characters since they are literally the real life embodyment of their favourite manga characters, right down to their feelings for one another.
