We’ve had a patio heater under the roof of our Yardistry gazebo that’s installed on our deck. It’s basically an outdoor room with a tv and patio set of furniture. Placement of the heater needs to be near an opening and under a part of the roof that contains no wooden cross supports . Half the heat would exit the structure through the opening. This reflector is a game changer. Since the heat is reflected out little goes through the cap to the roof, and it is actually cool behind the reflector. You can feel the heat over the seating area and for a distance of over 8’ from the couch. We turned the gas to half of what we were using, so I know I’ll be saving propane, and be warmer than we were before.Installation: Instructions were ok, once you see it you’ll get it. I did reverse the thumb screws a mounting brackets to the top of the heater disc instead of what was shown in the diagram. Easier access for this 6’ guy.The one improvement I would make would be stainless steel hardware. My magnetic screw bit attracted the screw so I’m assuming it’s not stainless. Between the aluminum brackets, stainless sheet metal and steel fasteners there will be rust. For pennies more they could have made them stainless. Watching Buffalo play KC in heat under the roof. GO BUFFALO! Great product!!

So I took a chance to see if it would work on my square fire pit and it did. If you leave the screws loose before attaching to the deflector, it goes on perfectly. You can then go back after and tighten them up. I thought I would need to use thread lock but I didn't. I wanted to post for those that came here thinking the same as I did.

A bit bulky to put away, It folds but you have to take all screws out which is very time consuming. It seems like someone just put it together without any thought behind the ergonomics.

Easy to install and works perfectly, keeps the heat where you need it. Can easily be removed if you need to heat a larger area.

If you want to prevent heat, this is perfect. I was wondering way my patio didn’t get as warm as my neighbors does. Randomly took this off and boom, nice and toasty. What a waste of money.

Thought this would help with directing the heat. Can’t tell if that is so or not. The clips to hold the deflectors in place were not enclosed with the hardware or deflectors.

A must buy if you’re trying to heat up one area.It’s nice and thick, hasn’t rusted on me yet and still looks new after 3 months of use and exposure.Just remember to put it BEHIND the knob control.It is noted in the instructions but reading reviews people don’t know how to read and accept responsibility for their own ignorance lol
