80 Inch (2 Meter) Cable Extender for DJI Osmo+ / Osmo Extension Wire with Smart Adapter, 1/4-20” Threaded Mount

The media could not be loaded. This is a well built product. I have used it with my DJI Osmo Plus several times over several months. I don't rush my reviews.I mounted the Osmo camera and gimbal with a DJI original suction cup mount on the hood, roof, door of my car, and was easily able to control the Osmo (while in the passenger seat of course) reliably. It works well with a crane and a monopod as an extension pole for some crazy shots. This is good way to reduce the fit/form factor of the actual camera and put it in a small difficult and hard to reach locations. Being an Engineer, I actually put inside a piece of automation equipment at work to be able assist in a root cause analysis. Unfortunately I can not share that footage for IP reason, but did include footage of one of the car footages. Nice rugged anodized aluminum components. Connects and locks securely. I would definitely suggest this product to those that want to get a certain shot or have control of the Osmo over 6 feet away without using the DJI app. I will update this review with some additional unique footage in the future.

This is going to be a strange review since the product didn't work for me. Let me explain. I purchased this product as an experiment because logically this SHOULD work with the X5 adapter. The seller was honest in saying that it didn't but I thought it was worth the experiment.The device will work to power up the X5 and will be able to be used to turn on the recording and manipulate the camera. The Osmo and X5, however, do not communicate with each other for some reason. This might be a software issue, I'm not sure. The result is that you will not be able to see an image on the screen.So if you are intending to use this as a remote for the X5, this unit will be only partially usable.That said, the build quality is excellent and I truly hope that this manufacturer will offer this device for the X5.As for the seller, they were top notch. Delivery was swift. Top marks and WILL definitely be purchasing this product again when/if they make one for the X5.

I really like the product.. the problem is that one that I got had a wire that was already breaking. I did test it and it works well... I’m returning this one and will get another... hopefully one that is not broken out of the box.Edit: I got the new one, but I’m being very very careful with this one because that spot where the cord came out on the last one doesn’t look much stronger here. I’ve also noticed that locking mechanism on the camera end doesn’t seem as strong as the handle. Under stress (aka wind) the camera feed stops and the camera even powered off a couple times. Putting the whole handle out, I had no issues at all. I’m leaving this at 3 stars while I use this more and find other potential limitations/problems.

Does the job but seems to work itself loose so keep checking your connections

Terrible product, it does not fit correctly and osmo camera is loose on the top due to connector issue.Wanted to return but the hassle of returning from UK to USA put me off.I’ve since bought the official Dji which works flawlessly

Great piece of gear for the OSMO. I haven't tried it with the ZENMUSE X1, but it works great with the original OSMO camera. I mounted it to the pannier rack on my mountain bike, and placed the phone on a phone holder on my bars. Now I can record, and keep an eye on my five year old when we go on a bike ride using her "Tag-a-Long" bike.One thing I did notice is that where the cable connects ends and connects to either mounting unit, there seems to be exposed wiring. I appears that KEMARAR tried to cover this with shrink-wrap. My shrink wrap doesn't stay put and scoots up the wire leaving this area apparently vulnerable. I think they could have run the (very sturdy) cord inside the housing and clamped it inside rather than leaving it semi-exposed. I will be careful with this connection, but they definitely need to address this.

This is ingenious and works great. I can't tell you how many times I've hung my OSMO somewhere (in a rafter, on a boat or car) where I had the handle hanging, adding extra weight and bulk, where I wish I had this extender instead. I've only used it a few times so far (for driving shots with a suction mount) and it worked perfectly. The materials and build seem top quality, not cheaply made. Maybe a little stress on the cable if your not careful how you store it but otherwise this works as it says and opens up some new possibilities with your OSMO. A few feet longer than the DJI version for the same price.

I bought this cable for two reasons. I wanted to mount the camera in or on a vehicle and use it to mount the camera on a tripod. The cable and the connections are heavy duty and is sufficient in length where I could mount the camera head inside or outside the vehicle. The 1/4 20 thread worked well on a tripod. This cable is of good quality and I would definitely buy it again.
