I like the book, I have nothing bad to say. I read through it and, well I guess I could say that I seem to be a bit more experienced than I thought lol. I gifted it to a coworker, for his current girlfriend's, ex boyfriend apparently could use it. And we weren't wrong. He loves it and can put it to good use. Great little book for a teen or maybe early 20s, especially if pops wasn't around.

Growing up without a dad, there is a lot that I do not know how to do that this book explains. I keep this book around in case I forget how to do anything. But there are a lot of good skills that are useful to know. And for me personally, a lot of information that I would not have known if this book did not exist. Good purchase for me and I hope if you have already purchased this item that it’s as useful to you as it was/is to me

It is a good little read, got through it in about 35-40 mins. the part about the just start is wrong, there is a more detailed correction below. I wish it had a few more things in it. good overview.

My husband is not a “book” guy so his first impression of this book as a stocking stuffer was a bit of confusion. However once he began flipping through the book, he had his nose in it for a good hour! So many interesting little things... I bought this for him as a novelty item but now he thinks it’s awesome! I’d bet this would also be good for a younger man, maybe high school age, or even a guy in his young 20’s.

I love this book. Its exactly what I was expecting, the author even has a sense of humor which makes it a fun and informative read. If something were to happen to this book, I would gladly re order. I like the info on fishing and trying knots as well as how to properly set up a campfire.

I have always been a sucker for books that are filled with useful tips and information. This small hardcover pocket size 144 page book is filled with interesting and helpful information men should know something about. This is not to say all the information is completely valid or even complete in this brief summary. One example of very poor advice in this book is on how to throw a punch. I suspect the author has very limited experience in actually throwing any punches and probably got the information from a karate book rather than a boxer's point of view. Pulling your opposite hand back to your hip rather than stressing the turning of the hips and waist as you throw a punch is bad advice. Your opposite hand should be held high next to your face (To block a counter attack) as you use your weight, hips and waist together when throwing a punch. One other important point. If you want to throw a knockout punch you should learn how to drop your weight as you throw the punch. This was one of the secrets the great Jack Dempsey used to knock out his opponents. For more details get a good boxing book or talk to an experienced boxer or other full contact fighters. In conclusion, this book was fun to read and it did have some very useful and sometimes humorous tips; however, you may want to check out some of the suggestions with an expert in the field. This book is really good quality and has a bunch of good basic information. It's a hard cover book with thick pages. I got it as a stocking stuffer for my son and he is really entertained by it. I would definitely buy from this seller again.

Women too. It should be Stuff Everyone Should Know. Women may also have the need to fish, or make a fire pit, or defend themselves (OH i got that out of the Sherlock Holmes Handbook) How Stuff Works. Survival Stuff. I have not read the entire book yet, just what grabbed my attention. Women might also want to be forewarned about mens "pick up" lines. After all, a man's encounter with a woman is a moments pleasure or fun. HOWEVER, a woman's encounter is life changing and must be taken seriously. Sometimes, the encounter is very dangerous or even deadly. WOMEN NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES: survival skills. And thank you, previous Reviewers on your corrections about the Battery Hookup and self defense, I printed them and placed them inside the book. Yes if there is a car manual available--check it...even on-line on the computer or phone call to the car dealership.

This little handbook is brilliant. I bought it as a joke present for a friend but its actually pretty interesting! It certainly has things that we should all know! Guys- if you want to impress a girl give this a read! Delivered quickly also!

This book comes with a lot of cool things any person should know or learn how to do. Including how to change a tire, what kind of tools you need for your home, how to put up a shelf, how to tie a tie, etc.

Absolutely LOVE this book. I am putting it in my 15 year old sons stocking this Christmas. Lots of cool ideas and concepts. Probably be the only book he ever reads from start to finish!

An enjoyable quick reference book that I managed read from cover to cover in about thirty minutes. Not sure that I would want to pay full price due to the shortness.
