My son was obsessed with a red coat from H&M he’s worn for 2 years and they didn’t do the same one this year for us to buy in a bigger size; this is very similar but ‘even better’ according to him because it has a compass on the arm! It’s got a thin fleece lining and isn’t heavy to carry; not quite as lightweight as the H&M one but close. Great for chilly autumn & spring mornings & days. He hates thicker fleecier winter coats as finds them too bulky and restrictive, and he’s running around so much this will probably be fine even when it’s a bit colder. We have a separate proper waterproof coat for days when it’s really raining and know going to be out in it, so not tested how long it lasts dry in the rain. He’s tall for his age but skinny, length is fine.

My son absolutely loves his green coat, especially the little compass looking element on the sleeve. The colour is a lovely bright green and it has some reflective details which makes for safer road crossing in lower lighting. Excellent lightweight and waterproof coat with a comfortable thin fleece lining. Perfect to put on top of a jumper or even without one, depending on the weather! :) I would reccommend this coat.

The little compass on the arm is cute. It's a thin jacket so your child will need a jumper/fleece. It is 100% waterproof though, my daughter got caught in the torrential rain and was completely dry underneath.

I brought this for my grandson and he loves it ,it’s well made and worth every penny I brought 11/12 years old and my grandson is just turning 9 but he is very tall for his age I would say it’s true to size if your child is average for his age nice and warm and rain proof to and smart

I bought this and it just fit and no more if he had grown a extra inch it wouldn’t of fitted, so sent back and ordered next size up, my son is 9 and a half thin, refunded me straight away once sent item back, size 11/12 fits lovely, nice coat only downfall I found was cuffs where a bit tight but apart from that a nice cosy coat, not sure if it is rain proof yet will wait and see I’m not going to lie I’m not holding my breath on it being water proof, it may be and I hope so, it is a nice cosy coat so far so good 😊 thank you for fast delivery! Brilliant product. The zip open at the bottom/split after a couple of wears. If you pull it to the bottom and do zip up again it stays... done this a couple of times

Bought this for my 7 year old for school given all the rain we have just had. It's perfect for that 'in between' weather that's not quite winter-coat-worthy. I purchased 11-12 as he is tall and long (age 9/10) tshirts for reference and it fits perfect with room to grow. Its lightweight but slightly padded as it is fleece lined. Would definitely buy again if needed. Good also detaches too but I know if we took it off in this house it would never be found again so that wasn't a biggie for us.
