Once upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen

Wonderful quality, and amazing artwork && storyline. Definitely going to buy the books that come after this one! Also I’ve seen the show quite a few times, so it’s refreshing to have stories unique and not just copied from an episode!

Even though some people didn't like the style change each chapter, I thought it was great. This is because each chapter is done by a different artist, and of course they would all be in a different style. This was fun to read if you are a fan of the Huntsman and wish that there was more with him, I do wish that it was a bit longer, because I really like the Huntsman, however what you get is more than the show, so I will not complain (too much)

We love the Once Upon A Time series and I was so excited to see the graphic novels. This helps give additional storylines to the characters we already love. This book gives more of a background to the earlier stories from the Enchanted Forest, which I am figuring they do not have time to show on TV. It shows you where the history between The Huntsman and Regina, the Evil Queen really began.It gives you a whole other perspective of these characters.

I liked the story, the dialogue resembled that on the show (which is great), the characters were in character (mostly) and you get additional information that was never revealed on the show. I didn't like the art that much (it's nothing like on the cover) but that's not why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. There was something that didn't make a lick of sense, considering the storyline on the show, and since the novel is set in the same world, it should've been consistent with the show's plot. It is also advertised as suitable for both fans of the show and people who haven't watched it, but if you're not familiar with OUAT's world, you might find it a bit confusing. Especially the magic system since the limits of magic and magic users are not outlined anywhere. Apart from those two (three if you count my dislike for the art, but that's completely subjective) complaints, I don't have anything negative to say about this graphic novel. I received it in a great condition (mine is a hardcover copy) and I enjoyed reading it.

If you love Once Upon a Time you will love this, is amazingly well done, loved it, the illustrations are perfect, the story gives you another insight on the relationship between the Evil Queen and the Huntsman. I couldn't put it done. Honestly is just perfect I recommend them to everyone that is a fan of the show and even more of this two characters.

Bought this between seasons of OUAT to tide me over. I'm not very familiar with graphic/comic books, but I liked it. Fun to have. And it's not all Disney like the show has gotten. It's more like the first season of OUAT, which was my favorite by far.

Love this so glad they did this I miss the huntsman on the show so much so this book does help I hope they make more little side stories like this it was amazing and I love love love love love it.

Amazing graphics! Great story! Very good quality book. Very quick read though. I sat down and finished the whole story in about a half an hour. Definitely worth the purchase for OUAT fans, but it left me wanting more.
