don't be mistaken, the Prussians wont win many battles ...
don't be mistaken, the Prussians wont win many battles unless you are playing a expert or you have a derelict French commander.WHY?Because they won few, even when they won, it was not devasting, in 1813 and 14 Napoleon still bloodied the nose of the Prussian foe, it was mere numbers and defeats against subordinates that whittled down the French on several fronts and against more numerous foes.Nappy defeated in France Prussian after Prussian force, if it wasn't for a disaster in Russia in 1812, Europe could have been under French influence for decades.BUY IT, I just did.

A necessary addition
A necessary addition. The fourth expqnsion to Command and Colors Napoleonics (ccn). Herein we find the Prussians, so often late to the party, but ever necessary. This completes the last MAJOR European power needed to fulfill most of your ccn needs. Lets not quibble over the Ottoman Turks for now.As in other expansions, you will receive several sheets of stickers which represent the Prussian and French armies. You will need to put these on blocks, both sides. This will take a couple of hours. The painting job on the grey Prussian blocks is very good in my set. If you own the other expansions, you probably do not need to sticker the French, because you get more of the same. The Prussians have the usual units, but also have Reserve Inf and Militia Lancer Cav. As in other sets, the retreat and combat dice rolled has small variations for the base units. The big special for Prussians is that they have Iron Will counters which may be spent on any unit to allow it to ignore retreats. This can be huge in situations where you MUST hold a location. The Prussian army feels like it can stand toe to toe with France. There is of course a scenario book included. It has nice selection of battles, 20, from 1805-1815. They are however often very unbalanced. This especially in 1806. The early battles, in particular, have large imbalance. I guess it reflects history, but sometimes does not make gaming fun.Reference sheet for Prussian army also included as well as tiles for terrain and replacement tiles for some print problems with Austrian exp.I would rate 5 if not for the severly imbalanced scenarios present in the scenario book at times but otherwise I think this is an essential expansion.
