De Cecco has a well-deserved reputation for quality pasta, and their Penne Rigate is no exception. From the moment you start cooking it, you can tell the difference. The pasta holds its shape beautifully and cooks up to a perfect al dente texture – it's firm with a satisfying bite. The ridges (rigate) are excellent for grabbing onto sauces, ensuring every bite is flavorful. Whether I'm making a hearty meat ragu, a creamy pesto, or a simple tomato sauce, this penne holds up wonderfully and coats evenly. While it might be a bit pricier than some other brands, the quality is worth it. The 16-oz package is a standard size and perfect for a family meal. If you appreciate pasta with superior texture and the ability to hold sauce well, De Cecco Penne Rigate is a fantastic choice. It elevates any pasta dish!

This penne pasta has become a go-to in our kitchen. It cooks up perfectly al dente in about 10 minutes and holds sauces really well—especially heavier ones like Alfredo or meat sauce. The shape is ideal for baked pasta dishes too. I appreciate that the texture stays firm and doesn’t get mushy if slightly overcooked. One downside is that the packaging doesn’t reseal, so I transfer it to a container for storage. Still, it’s great value for the price and super versatile. Whether it’s a quick dinner or a side dish, this pasta always comes through.

This brand of pasta is my new favorite brand! I get bloating from regular flour that isn’t organic or Italian imported, and so I can finally enjoy pasta again without getting sick. It does take a few extra minutes to cook than the box says it will, but I’ll take that minor inconvenience for the great quality of this pasta that I can eat without getting bloated.
