The helmet can hold a 12 oz can.

Not very well. We’ve used the 8oz mini water bottles but it’s loose and requires you to be very still.

Q: Can you remove the drink holders and put them on a different hat?

Yes, the holder is removable. But I am afraid that it would be difficult to attach the holder to other hat.

Q: Would this fit someone with a large head ?

If you have a large head this will not fit. You can set the hat on your head but it does not fit securely.
