String Light Hooks with Wing Nut Driver

These hooks are excellent. They are perfect to hold the outdoor string lights, they are very sturdy and the hook is the perfect size to hang the string lights cord. The screw tip that was included with the hooks made it super easy to drill the holes to a perfect size and it ensures that the hooks are securely fastened to a brick wall. So far, they've been outdoors subject to heat, cold and rain and have withstood the elements. I'll update this review in a couple months on how they've held up.

These are Awesome! Easy to screw into hard surfaces with the drill attachment. Clip sting lights in and go. Change your mind on the look no problem just unclip and move string lights or unscrew and move. Works for anything you want to hang. Very sturdy.

I have a long stretch of new wooden fence this year and wanted to string lights along the top edge. I was going to use regular cup hooks until I saw these with the locking mechanism and I am so glad I did. I drilled holes but did not use the anchors as the lights are lightweight, but it sure is nice to have them for other purposes. I used the drill bit driver for about half of the 60+ hooks I installed. In a few cases, it scratched the vinyl coating partially off and in one case the screw broke from the hook. But that was small price to pay for the convenience of quickly screwing them in. The lights are up and working now and I don't have to worry about wind or a big river of snow from the snowplow - I know they will stay in place. The dark color is all but invisible on my dark brown stained fence and I will just leave the hooks up all year and next season will be a snap.

These look great, and they are made well. The spring-jangled latch works perfectly to keep things in place. I used these to hang 300 ft. of cafe lighting outside. These are plenty strong, no issues at all. I did not use the included wall anchors; I drilled a very small pilot hole and screwed directly into the wood. I would have given this 5 stars because it really is a great product. However, the included tool, meant to attach to a drill to make installation easier, is worthless. It should be magnetic, but it is not, and the groove that is cut into the shank is too large to properly hold the hook in place. I tried to use it once I got a hook started in a pilot hole, but even using minimum rotation on the drill, the hooks broke. I think if you tried it in a wall anchor, you'd just make a mess.

Nice kit, every component works as desired. The latch on the hooks works well, the included drywall anchors were easy to use. Even the included drill-hook holder (not sure if correct name of the tool) was a nice touch. The only way this kit could be improved is if they included the drill bit for installing the anchors & put a latch on the drill insertion tool so that it "holds" the bottom of the hook better. Once you get the hook started in the drywall the insertion tool works well, but it will try to slide off until it starts to bite-in. All in all very pleased with this kit and used it immediately.

Bought these for hanging lights on the patio cover. Absolutely stellar! Screw it in and then you can slide in the wires and/or remove the wires.

This is the 2nd one to break. First one broke as i was hand screwing it into the fence (im a 5'2" 110lb woman btw) then this one broke while opening the gate. Its Not a strong spring or on tightly as i was able to easily stretch it up to attach to the hook. These are NOT STRONG. Best for tea cups, Christmas lights etc. I wouldn't trust them with a plant planter etc.

The hooks worked well for hanging a tarp. I did not receive the tool for installing which would have made it easier instead of using a screwdriver. I ended up breaking 2 hooks screwing them into spruce boards. So I would recommend pre-drilling holes to make it easier.

Drill bit is too wide for screws. Drill pilot hile first and screw in by hand. Seems sturdy enough but the hook flap is weak.
