Q: Can this be used outdoors?

It must be plugged in, but with an extension chord yes it can be used outdoors. Now, of course you cant heat the whole outdoors so youd have to be near it to be effective outdoors, but if its near where youre working on a car in the freezing cold, yes that would help to at least warm up ur hands every few seconds. Another way "outdoors" it could work would be if you have some sort of work tent or outdoor lean to, this would keep the heat in one space if you were working there.

Q: Has anyone tried this in an area around 800sqft?

I doubt this would be sufficient for that much space. It worked well for me in a 200 sq ft garage.

Q: How long is the charging cord?

This 120V heater has 89in long heating wire and ideal for indoors use such as office, room, desk, home, bedroom,family garages, dorms, RV...etc.

Q: What is the lowest temperature in fahrenheit? i want to use this to keep my shed from freezing. can i set the thermostat to 35f, or how low can it no?

Can't answer but it will go lower than 60 degrees. I am well pleased with this heater. I heat a small (myself made), plastic covered, greenhouse. I set it on low fan, very low heat and it works well for me.
