Best countdown timer. I use this as a USATF Certified official for high jump. It's great because it's easy to set time for 1, 2, 3, and 5 minutes and beyond and begin the countdown. I don't have worry about how much time an athlete has left. It's crystal clear. I have purchased several and given then away to other officials. Highly recommend if you need a countdown timer. It also has an alarm that keeps when time is up.

OTOH, the battery does eventually have to be replaced, but only costs $7.

I use this every day at work. I'm a dog trainer and it gets bumped and jumped on a lot. I haven't had any issues with durability. The screen is a good size and it saves the previous setting. The lanyard is very long so I just tied a knot. It has a kind of quick release that is nice. The buttons don't stick. It's a very nice, quality timer.

I used this countdown timer for SW Trials and training. Mainly in AKC Masters trails. I like it because it is simple to use. It has one basic function and that is to countdown time. The buttons are toggle. Click the blue to start and and stop. The gray to reset or hold to turn off. It does beep when time is reached, but it does not seem to bother my GSDs when searching. The leash to the countdown timer is adjustable and can be shortened.

I bought this because my wife said she needed a decent countdown timer for her cooking and the previous timer we bought (from a different company) had to be returned because it just did not work well. This timer, on the other hand, seems easy to use, has a repeating alarm and is loud enough to actually hear. There are only four buttons on the timer, two to set the countdown time (minutes and seconds), one to start the timer and one to reset. All works well and I would have given this timer 5 stars except for three issues. The first is that the timer only goes to 99 minutes and 59 seconds so if you need to time something for 2 hours or more you have to do it with sequential timings, the second is that the speaker is on the reverse side of the timer and thus if you hang this around your neck you need to have the back side facing out or you may not hear the timer. The third is related to the second issue. The control buttons are very sensitive and, because the timer has to have its back facing out to be heard, the buttons rest against your shirt if you hang it around your neck. If you accidentally bump it you are likely to press one of the buttons and affect the timing. I have accidentally stopped the timer and only noticed when I thought the timer should have expired, but I had not heard any sound. These issues are a bit annoying, but not too much of a problem if the user is aware of them and treats the timer carefully. Given those conditions I think that the timer is a great buy at the price.
