SharkRV2502AE AI Ultra Robot Self-Empty Vacuum, Black

I’ve had this vacuum for almost two years. It is amazing. I have two dogs and two cats. It helps me keep a clean home without having to get my upright vacuum out everyday. I would buy this again.

I bought this unit after over analyzing and research due to mixed reviews. Have owned Roomba for years. I am elated with this unit. I had zero problems with set up which was a concern with the wi-fi in a condo. I ran it first without mapping. The mapping honestly was amazing. The condo has bedrooms on opposite ends plus a sitting area plus half bath at entry. It got it right the first time. The floor is all marble with lots of rugs. The first time it ran was mostly on the rug, then went and dumped itself, and proceeded to run again. I have a dog that sheds a lot.Pros:Not noisy compared to Roomba except to dump which takes seconds.Great suction and manages several rug heights.Technology for mapping, covering the floor in total even with restarts, and emptying itself is fabulous.No bags required.See below on the cons - was able to set that area as a no-go zone and still do the master.For mapping, was able to easily merge areas that were not square or rectangle, or odd shapes to label as the family room.Cons:I have a high shag rug in the master that the twirly thing got hung around. It maybe just because it was first run and kept turning but I don’t plan to use it on that rug.Cannot schedule by room at this time. For now, I just start the family room when I go to bed. It takes a recharge to finish it but that is ok since it is at night.Battery will only go to 40% and it takes it back to recharge. I have not found where you can reduce.

E.G. Directions showed 2 side brushes the product had a single side brush and the apparent port area for the second brush was sealed over (a different floor panel installed). Further, the directions indicated an "on/off" button on the back of the base. Again, no button and the area was sealed off. Thinking it was an error in delivery, Amazon issued me a replacement. It was exactly the same. It too has been returned. What possible use is a robotic floor vacuum with a single side brush??Ordered and received a NEW version (not refurbished, as the 1st 2 were) opened the box AGAIN there is a single side brush, as in the refurbished models, and no on/off switch. As noted it is not as advertised.I will give it a try, but I expect it to be substandard. Not acceptable for the price.Beware, of this particular item.It is a replacement for a refurbished Shark, that finally wore out. I was VERY happy with the job it did.

I did research to replace our old one that suffered its final room cleaning. It’s great for all the hair balls that collect in the corners of our home and the added top piece is great as it doesn’t get caught under furniture like our old one. The self cleaning is also great too. Some of the cons state that it’s loud but I find that it’s actually not that loud at all. It’s actually much quieter than our old one. It was easy to put together and get it started. Would recommend. For reference, we have carpet only in bedrooms but we have three small dogs and two cats. We also have two very large area rugs in our living room and dining room.
