Q: How toxic is this, and how strong is the odor?

Don't know about toxicity but odor is not bad. Spray it on walk away. Works great.

Q: What is the coverage area for one quart?

That’s a hard question to answer. I usually soak my wool very heavy so when it drys I don’t have to worry about the wool blanket sagging any till I get it coated with refractory.

Q: is it liquid or does it require mising wiht water? How much area does this amount of product cover - i have a small forge wth a blanket about 12x24"??

Would that small of pad you have plenty to cover using a paintbrush and you will have some left over it is a great product for the price worth the effort in your forge

I used it to coat the inside of my forge. The kao wool blanket I treated is roughly 16” x 24”. Gave it multiple coats and still have 1/4+ left in the bottle. The ceramic kao wool is not going to get saturated like a sponge. Apply multiple layers and let dry. It will make the surface stiff.
