Good value
If you play a lot, especially finger style, these are hard to beat. Good quality, priced right. Been using them for over 30 years. Martin 00028

they sound pretty similar to me
I'm a "seasoned" bluegrass/folk flatpick style guitar player, who also plays modern Christian praise music style well enough to lead a church band. The fact is, strings are strings. The particular alloy you use for the bass (wound) strings will have different characteristics of "ringiness" but after played for a few hours, they sound pretty similar to me. I really like the Martin strings because they are inexpensive, and consistent quality. Three sets in a small box saves room in your guitar case. I have never had a bad (mislabeled size or break when putting them on) set. I play daily and don't change strings until they start sounding flat or won't stay in tune. Generally I change them about monthly. All string brands last about the same for me, with the exception of Elixar strings which last three times as long (their words), but cost more than four times as much as this deal. I like the way these sound better.

Great strings.
No they're not coated and don't last as long as those that are. But the sound is worth it. My acoustic guitar came with coated strings and that's what always put on her. Decided to try these again and boy am I happy with the sound.

Lifetime Martin buyer
I have been buying Martin strings for my acoustic for years. These have a very bright metallic sound, accurate pitch, do not stretch or get out of tune easily (assuming you wind them correctly), and overall are the best strings I have put on my acoustic guitar, period. I like the light gauge because they are a little bit looser on my guitar, making it easier to bend. I always wash my hands before playing to help avoid building up grease and dirt as quickly. I can typically go a month of casual playing before I need to replace the strings. Amazon's price is right for a three pack. I will definitely buy again.

Solid price, solid strings
I have these on an epiphone masterbilt aj500M and they sound pretty good, the highs are a little overwhelming and sparkly when the strings are new, but after a couple days of playing and a few hours exposure to my corrosive hand oils (which is why I should buy the Elixer strings, but I don't) they tone down and are more mellow. I also have them on a 1930s Regal archtop guitar, where they do absolutely incredible things and are particularly easy to play on. I don't think there's a better deal out there for strings than this three-pack.

Affordable crisp tone.
I have an older harmony with a muted sound. The sharp crispness of the 80/20 brightens up and gives it a very full and balanced tone. And because they,re soooo cheap, I can afford to replace them regularly(I do). I love the multi packs because I always have an extra set around. BTW. I also have a Gibson Archtop from the 30's. Because it's already so bright and crisp, these strings are toooo much when I put them on and I have to break them in before they sound ok.

Good quality for a lightweight string
I don't know how long these strings are supposed to last, but I get a few weeks maybe a month out of them before the sound starts to become "tinny" & it's time to replace again. I like the sound for a lightweight guitar string & for a beginner like me I'm quite satisfied for the price.

The best string I have ever played.
I have used Martin Light Gauge strings for many years and for the money and the grand sound I receive from them, they can't be beat. Fender, or other strings can't come close. I wouldn't use any others if they were free. Ronald Lewis South Hill, Va

These guitar strings sound great! Not only are they easy to put on but they are also easy to press down and last a long time. I haven't had one snap on me yet.

I found these strings to be excellent value. I love the tone I get from them. I expected less, I must admit as I usually go for D'addario etc thinking they must be better quality. I was not dissapointed in any way with these Martin strings and I'm still using them without any loss of quality in sound. Brilliant price too, AND the added bonus with this bargain deal is you get 2 SETS OF STRINGS for this price, which is hard to beat without usually losing something in the quality of sound. I've also found that with these strings I'm not having to tune up as much, as they seem to stay in tune longer, without slipping or stretching. Other strings I've had usually need a full tune up in between times when you lay down the guitar for a day or 2 then pick it up again. These are still fairly accurate and may need just a quick tiny bit of a turn on 1 or 2 strings. I've NOT had any problems with strings snapping either??? I think that was mentioned here. I had a problem with one string which was MY FAULT ENTIRELY as I had cut too much off the end, then it wouldn't catch, so I wasted one. No problem though as with this set it was easily replaced, with the wonderful second set...simple... First time I've used Martin's strings and I can assure you it won't be the last! Buy them and try them....great strings and very fast delivery.
