Caligraphy Practice Paper/Workbook: Hand Lettering Workbook for Beginners

Although they provide practice on both sides of the page, depending on the quill or brush tip you use, the ink may bleed. This is basically because of the amount of ink being used. If you practice with a caligraphy brush pens, this will not occur due to the amount of ink being used. But I would recommend this for all those attempting to refine their skills in mastering an existing style of writing or practicing new forms.

This practice book is ok for what it is but the paper bleeds. Tombo works well, Pentel bleeds. LePen Flex works good too. It’s also hard to write towards the middle/binding because the book doesn’t open up flat. 4 stars, only because it lacks directions and paper is a little on the thin side.

As a beginner in calligraphy, this is helpful for tutorials, with getting angles and shading accomplished correctly..

EXCELLENT paper for practice. It has already improved my cursive after just a few pages. The lines and angle cues are far more helpful than I thought they would be. The Paper is soft and has some texture to it and my fountain pens track well on them. I have not experienced any bleed through with a pretty wet Medium nib and deep black ink. Having the lines printed on both sides it allows for full use of each page. The paper is fairly thin, and doesn't have a tear out strip so I just used a clean razor blade and they come off the spine completely clean. Highly recommend and for the price a great value.
