The Good:Bought from a company in England, the cutlery rests look FANTASTIC! They suit our silverware perfectly. Unlike some other's I have seen, these rests are actually broad enough to fit both a knife and fork. I bought this set for my mom as a gift and she already started using them for a few Sunday dinners. It really puts a special touch on family gatherings. Now she's hoping the relatives will take notice this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mom is happy. Score another point for her favorite son!The shape, stability and the feel of the rests are very nice. If you're looking to impress I can't recommend these enough. All the animals seem well-crafted - they are thick/solid, they don't rattle or shake, and are a great size. As I held the Hare in my hand, I reminisced of a trip to London I took a few years ago.The Not So Good:The wooden box is nice! It will stack nicely with all the other cutlery in the hutch drawer. My complaint is the pieces were a little difficult to pull out from the notches. There were no finger cutaways, taking a long time to get them out. I'm hoping the company can do something about that. Or maybe it will get looser with time? I also feel they could have added a foam layer as added protection during transit... just to make sure the pieces don't fall out or damage the felt on the inside lid. Nothing happened to mine but you never know.Conclusion:Despite my issues getting the pieces out of the box, I am still satisfied with my purchase. The box itself provides an air of mystery as you open it.If you look at my photos, you'll see a smorgasbord of styles: Porcelain from Jingdezhen, China; Frank Lloyd Wright/Prairie style place mats; modern flatware; and now British silverware rests!
