Bought it to replace ethernet card in a Windows 7 machine. It wasn’t recognized and I had to search for the driver. Found it on the Realtek site. Downloaded the Windows 7/Server 2008 driver and it installed nicely and works well. Just a bit annoyed that I had to hunt down the driver.

Bought this in July for the Optiplex 3010 even thought it used the Realtek Chipset for onboard but good thing i am still using the PCIe card for the 3010 because i can use any driver instead of using Dell Drivers also bought this for the Optiplex 990 because it uses the Intel Ethernet and I prefer Realtek more it worked on Windows 7/8.1 with no driver issues used a 2014 driver for the 3010 and a 2013 driver for the 990 still get good mbps download and upload would buy this item again for any other pc As of 11/2/2025 I moved my from the 3010 to the Inspiron 570 i’m using the onboard Ethernet again on the 3010
